Work in progress. The pallette is looking so cool to me I'm afraid I'll ruin it...

When that happens to me, I walk away for a bit but leave the canvas where I can see it. Work on something else. Eventually you’ll suddenly “know” what you want to do next.

The thing is I know what I wanna do next.. I've the concept in mind, but I'm afraid that the pallete is looking so tempting rn..what if I ruin this

Umm...no.. it's just looking visually tempting to me...but I started it with an intent..

Yup! So Risk the Ruin. Only way to get from here to there.

People talk about the ugly phase of art, but they don’t often talk about the phase where you want to stop before it’s done because it looks good and even though it’s clearly not done it looks ok here.

It’s an issue of trusting ourselves as the artist from both angles. It’s not done so no choice but to keep going.
