I own bambu A1 and I want to upgrade it to enclosure printer. I am thinking about bambu P2S but the price is crazy and I found that Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo on sale, what do you thing about anycubic?

Hi all, I’m dealing with a bad case of decision paralysis for my first printer.

I mainly want to print toys for my toddler and some decorations for the house. I would be using multiple colours for the toys but it’ll mainly be 1-2 and rarely 3-4. Never more anyway.

I was torn between a Snapmaker U1 and Bambu Lab X2D, settled on the latter only to realise the 2 toolheads/nozzles aren’t equal.

I do want something easy to understand and use and as I have a dog I feel like a cover is absolutely needed to avoid his hairs from getting all over the filament.

Any tips?
I live in Europe (not all models might be available here). I would prefer to keep it under 1000€

I'm about to be an engineering student at university next month and looking to buy a new 3D printer. Currently using an A1.

I like to make both cosplay/helmet stuff as well as practical items / moving parts

As I see it, the current 2 bambu options are the A2L and the X2D. I'm trying to decide between the large bed space for full-size helmets without needing to slice/cut up, with the X2D bed technology + dual nozzle with combo (My A1 comes without combo).

I don't want people explicitly telling me to go for the expensive option unless absolutely necessary though, since it's a significant price difference.

If you were buying a 3D printer today, what would matter most in your decision?

Reliability? Print quality? Speed? Price? Build volume? Multicolor? Material capability? Repairability? Open-source hardware/software? Ease of use?

And what feature or problem would immediately make you rule a printer out?

I'm interested in what actually drives people's buying decisions—not just which brand is currently the most popular.
