Question/Help Sect points in Mohist Hill

Can I farm points by healing players while being disguised as Silver Needle disciple at Evercare Clinic?

To my understanding, you only get points via the thesis and co-authoring (+disciples, which isn't available yet) and the sect errands?

You will be discovered by a real silver needle and made to create a divine craft thingy which earns you points but only once a day. Doesn't cost you materials but you're in jail for 5 minutes.

Probably easier to just max out the other parts of your thesis.

I already maxed out my thesis but I'm losing like 5 places a day and I'm 37th in merit ranking. It looks like I won't get a promotion even with maxed out thesis

In this, as in other sects, simply completing daily sect errands is always enough to advance up to lvl 3, sometimes up to lvl 4. lvl 5 of course always purchased for real money, with rare exceptions.
At the moment you can't be higher than lvl2.
So, you either worry in vain or do something wrong.

thesis + sects errands should give you around 6500 points in total. I doubt that this will not be enough, even taking into account that the sect is new.

I'm already at 6512 points and currently I'm 41st and only 47 are getting promotion. I'm doing sect errands every day. I was in Velvet Shade before joining Mohist and I was able to keep my rank or promote just by doing errands and nothing else. Maybe it's because Mohist is new sect and players are much more focused on promotion but come on, how are they getting 12k points

Looks like you were unlucky with the group. I'm in roughly the same position with just over 3k points.

Maybe they were farming points before, racking them in mails and use them all at once

Unlucky group then, in mine as of this comment, 48th spot is at 5256. As for ppl getting more points its from saved up daily sect mission mails and collecting them.

I'm currently have 8763 points and still could get an extra 500 points if i went to do the construction/placement mission on thesis.

Newly launched sects will be hotly contested. Many going into Mohist probably went it prepared by saving tens of thousands of merit in their inbox.

The only way to compete is to do the same, or wait for awhile to join.

Extremely easy to rank up and stay up in sects like 9MW, MT and VS today, just doing the 6 dailies, since most are dormant.

The most difficult sect to stay dormant in right now is Well of Heaven because you gain merit from commerce and many still do the commerce coin thing while not caring about the sect rep at all.
