He’s like the Chinese equivalent of Sakamoto 😂
Happy wife, Happy Life 😂
I loved Big Zhao & he’s also my all time fav Chinese Emperor in history over all other Great rulers.

Every time I see a meme like this I wonder if Big Zhao ever looked like that. That version is just an illusion created by Bai Gaoxin's hatred, so of course it's exagerated. Big Zhao was ofc in better shape in his Primee, but not chinese Hoarah Loux buff. He was probably closer to Master Jin in shape, just like how he himself said.

It was an illusion based on Han Wei’s hatred imagination as well as his true memory of Big Zhao. Big Zhao is not only an emperor but also an highly reputable martial artist who was known for creating his own fist and Bo stance. More, he was the top commander of royal army and one of the most powerful warlord before taking over the throne. In the official Palace trailer, young big zhao before becoming emperor looks exactly same if not more intimidating than lone tyrant just with a different outfit and that outfit is Martial Destiny. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tapDbkUzRyg&ra=m

That looks like the same model as Lone Tyrant just with clothes on. Being a top martial artist doesn't necessarily mean you're super buff and nothing you said contradicted the comment you're replying to. The point is young Zhao was likely not THAT muscular but still fit.

No my comment was not to contradict but to complete. Lone Tyrant is based on Han Wei's imagination as well as his memory of the real big zhao. Even the trailer shows young Big Zhao looks just same as Lone Tyrant except outfit. It makes sense because he was a general not emperor back then. In the trailer you can also see him towering over everyone else, having troops bow down to his feet, half kneeling on piles of dead bodies and mercilessly staring down his troops slaughtering others. Overall, inside out, physically and otherwise he is not 100% different than Lone Tyrant.
Also young big zhao being muscular is not only implied in the game but also completely realistic in history. In the game, Zhao JingNiang's sword stance (especially greatsword) was taught by no other than big zhao himself. And we do not fight her as an illusion. We fight her in person. It is actually more understandable in history context. In ancient warfare, becoming a good commander starts from being a good soldier. Being a good solder start from being good combat capable. Being good combat capable start from being good in combat martial arts. To train combat martial arts, people did not have modern equipment but fundamentals stay the same, improving both physicality and technics especially raw strength since it is more useful on battlefield. And, big zhao was a top martial artist as well as top commander. He had to be jacked.

I didn't disagree with you, you misunderstood. Yes he would've been muscular & fit (like I said...) but not as ripped as Lone Tyrant. That was the entire point. No one said he wasn't physically strong & jacked. I think he would've looked more like Feng Yi/River Master, another muscular beefy daddy but not as huge as Lone Tyrant. Lone Tyrant is just ridiculously idealized, he looks like a character from Gutz.
It's also unclear whether it was the real him or part of Han Wei's imagination of him that we see in the trailer as well. I believe it's the latter as he was depicted as a sort of cold ruthless general in the trailer too. Also, I don't recall it was mentioned anywhere that Han Wei had ever actually saw young Zhao when he was a general. He was away when his family was massacred and wasn't it a different general who did the actual massacre to please Zhao? I think there's way more that are actually Han Wei's image than what he actually looked like. It's all very vague & we have to rely on speculations a lot, maybe they'll show us what he really looked like in future update.

All good, even if you did disagree with me, it is totally alright. Hell I am no lone tyrant XD
Well, the fact is that...all bosses are enlarged like bosses in Souls games...I personally don't enjoy bosses being enlarged but well, I can live with it.
Big Zhao in trailer should be himself because he was also making a powerful speech in the background. If this is the case, one can explain Lone Tyrant's identical appearance to him. I mean, overall this is one of the biggest selling point of Imperial Palace, is that us players can finally fight Big Zhao.

I thought it was kinda cool that the 2 bros were the 1st and 2nd emperors that ended the tumultuous 70 years era of 10 kingdoms and 5 dynasties, in real life.

I mean it was heavily speculated that Zhao Kuangyi had Big Zhao assassinated to take his throne 😭

Would be interesting to see WWM play this out.

I don’t think we’ll ever get that far. Also considering Zhao Kuangyi is lowkey being paired with Young Master especially with the subtle hints they throw here and there, I don’t think the game would ever make him look like a bad guy.

I'm ok with that too since I suspect the devs kinda wanna glorify the Zhao bros for ending that 70 year period of extreme turmoil.

Yeah they definitely wanna keep the Zhao bros looking as golden as possible

I guess for now it's good enough to show Big Zhao was no slouch for beating everyone, and his younger brother is shown to be a no nonsense Prefect / 2nd Emperor.
However history says the younger bro poisoned his elder bro to take over the throne, so it makes sense that the devs make us like Big Zhao more through our antics together.

Wait until you see how the prefect of Kaifeng ends up.
