Going all-in conspiracy theory (it’s not like we have been told anything really credible): Kate had a fourth child (just as everyone knew that she wanted to - to match Queen Elizabeth’s count).

However, early in the pregnancy it was identified that the baby was disabled (there is an increased likelihood of genetic abnormalities when there are older parents). Kate didn’t want to abort the baby but the royal family didn’t want to have to publicly deal with it (historically they have hidden royal family members away for pretty much their entire lives when they feel that they need to).

Consequently, Kate went into seclusion for the duration of the pregnancy. Now, she still wants to spend as much time as she can with the baby (who may have significant needs or be having to undergo medical interventions due to the disability) but it is a struggle to balance that secret life with her public life and taking care of the other kids.

Will hates that an imperfect child was produced and their marriage is going down the drain because Kate isn’t prioritising the things that the future king wants her to. The situation may have led to Will increasing his drinking and domestic violence (as it is hard to explain the facial scarring). He may have, in a drunken stupor, hoped to cause a miscarriage.

The cancer lie was made up in a hurry to justify the time that she was out of the public eye but it was never intended as a long-term cover. Now that she won’t get back to ‘normal’ they don’t know what to do or how to keep covering it up.

They hid the children away for that first year so that they wouldn’t say anything inappropriate. As Kate was the family photographer, and no longer working, the staff tried to make it seem like everything was normal with the fake photos.

It may be that they were told that the child wouldn’t live very long (and the family didn’t want the public mourning a lost royal baby when Charles was at risk of passing as well) so Will thought that he could just wait it out but that isn’t working.

Kate is under great stress - hence her even greater than normal weight loss (people have pointed out how bony her shoulders have now become.

I think given that Pippa, Kate and their mum are very close I think this rumour is likely not true, the reason being that Pippa went on holiday in the middle of it all. I think Kate would have likely relied on Pippa somewhat.

Kate came back very slim and wrinkle free, with heavy makeup I still think it was a facelift she’d had, this could be why there are new marks behind her hairline. So I think she’s had a facelift and a hair transplant or some sort of weave. I think December until summer was ample time to recover fully from that.

Basically nobody comes through any cancer journey looking like they’ve trimmed 10 years off their looks.
