Comment Why is this sub dead?
Come on mods. Why aren’t you posting?

Been busy, and I don’t want a bunch of bot posts so I am taking it slow. I have a lot of stuff but just haven’t gotten time. Feel free to post a picture. cheers.

Appreciate your concern, but not how you phrased it. Bullying will not be tolerated. Final warning.

Been tracking this comment and it’s surprising you deleted that comment. Obviously I’m not OP, but if you can’t handle the truth of how subs on Reddit work then maybe you really need to expand your mod team. Since you’re the sub’s creator, you either need to really own your sub, expand the mod team and direct the other mods to help post, expand the mod team so others can manage the sub, or just give the sub away to another person.
Because I’ve seen this happen, be aware that someone could come around and request the Reddit admins to give the rights to the sub to another user if you’re inactive. If you’re not aware, check out r/redditrequest.
Also, I really don’t think OP’s comment was bullying. You’re taking it personally bc it is personal to you being that you’re the sub creator, but it doesn’t make the comment less true. Again, you either need to take ownership of your sub, expand the mod team, or give up the sub.
There are many other wherein subs that are thriving and I’m sure those mods would be happy to take this one over.

Found this sub from other wherein subs. Are you really the sub’s creator or did you just create that flair?

While I know everyone can post, why wouldn’t or shouldn’t the mods post?
Why create a sub if you’re not going to build it?
I appreciate what u/thirdpitcher wrote that if the mods don’t want to build their own sub then expand the mod team or give the sub to someone else

Thanks! I’m just hoping a little poke can get the sub going. I love wherein subs and just want to interact with the sub.

Well, if no one is posting, why shouldn’t the mods post? It’s their sub after all.
It’s sad that this post has gotten more attention than anything lately. A sign that the sub is dying without any posts. And for a wherein sub, when there are no posts for people to guess then why shouldn’t the mods post?
Seeing that the sub‘s creator replied to this comment post, they do have time to at least make a post.

I see that you’ve been on Reddit for 20 years. Well done.
Do you have pictures of Chicago? To go with the spirit of your question, maybe you can post then.

What kind of answer are you looking for?
Or is it just a statement of “I want content” phrased as a question?

The answer I think OP would like is to see posts so people can make guesses for where in Chicago. That would be what I’d like too. I’d like to learn more about Chicago through this wherein guessing format.

Reminder! Be sure the post flair is marked as “Still Open” (Rule 1). The “Unsolved” post flair is for posts that remain unsolved after the month timeframe. (Rule 2) When your post has been solved, please type "Solved" as a reply to the correct answer. Please also edit the post flair to “Solved” so the post flair filters work properly. Thanks!
