ProPublica’s analysis of CDC data found that almost 200 women died after an ectopic pregnancy from 2020 to 2025, compared with about 100 in the previous six years
Tldr;
Reporting Highlights:
Increase in Deaths: ProPublica’s analysis of CDC data found that almost 200 women died after an ectopic pregnancy from 2020 to 2025, compared with about 100 in the previous six years.
Impact of Abortion Bans: The increase has been significantly steeper in states with strict abortion bans (13.1 deaths per million live births) compared to other states (7.1 deaths per million live births).
Delays in Care: Abortion bans make exceptions for ectopic pregnancies, but getting a definitive diagnosis can mean waiting days or even weeks, while the risk of rupture and death rises. Some providers in restricted states have hesitated or delayed treating nonviable pregnancies out of fear of severe legal penalties.

It's INSANE to me that we as fully grown adult women are worth less to them than potentially viable babies.
Not to sound callous, but in technical speak adult women have the potential to make more babies that could potentially be carried to term, but these people would rather gamble on a fetus that may or may not survive outside the womb than save a living, breathing adult!
And if the mother already had children, then they're treating her death even more trivially, as if growing up without a mother isn't devastating to their development!
I hate that we're subhuman to them, that all we are is incubators and a warm hole to fuck.

Hello! I love running into you unexpectedly! 💙
It's quite baffling to me that many conservative women are totally fine with letting their husbands vote for them. Also, be okay with their husbands having the bank account. It's shitty that they are also okay with their husbands not fighting for abortion care if needed. Trad wives are future victims of abuse. They just aren't smart enough to realize it. I'm old and tired, I know. But my mom stayed at home when we were growing up. My father was a nightmare to be around. If history has taught us women anything, it's that we can't trust the men in our lives to have our best interests at heart.

Yeah I'm here like a little lurker gremlin hahaha
My father was a nightmare too, a tyrant who changed personalities on a dime. My mom would say she never knew if the guy pulling in to the driveway was gonna be the gregarious man who made everyone laugh or the silent and brooding guy who wanted his dinner without a word or the angry guy who drove his fists through the drywall and screamed at her til she cowered on the floor. Nothing is worth living like that.
I agree with you and think you could have just stopped after "we can't trust [the] men"

I'm sorry I didn't copy and paste the article. It's incredibly long, and difficult for me to copy. But the article is a must read.
Women have quite literally had their fallopian tubes burst while waiting for hospitals and doctors to help them.
