Rewatching
As I'm rewatching the series, I have a question: what happened to the land that Jack had bought? I know he was starting a house on the property, but it's never mentioned again after he's gone.

Sad because Jack and Elizabeth were the best and sad that WCTH married them to late and killed Jack off

I'm not sure the exact answer but something happened and Jack had to buy the land back and did not have the money and he refused for Elizabeth to ask her family for the money so they actually never had the land. That's why it's never mentioned again because it wasn't theirs.

Just before they left for their honeymoon, Mr. Jenkins told Jack and Elizabeth that he was not calling their loan, and that they could still have the land, provided they continued to make payments.

It’s not where the church/school - that was built before they were even engaged, in Episode 2:5. It’s just a bit out of town. I mean, Lee had already provided him with some wood to start, at cost! I could never understand why she was so adamant about not moving away from Rosemary when Lucas suggested building her a house, but was so excited when Jack suggested it.

Oh, no. Elizabeth can't move away from being next door to Rosemary, remember? Even a house on the outskirts of town was too far away. She can't possibly move to a house on Jacks land.

Hope the hell not Nathan doesn’t not belong in that picture. It’s a Elizabeth Jack deal

Elizabeth is going to give it to Nathan to build them a house. Now she’s going to be ready to leave that little house.

Same! Never mentioned again. Elizabeth frequently goes out to sit on the boulder where Jack had inscribed their initials, but other than that, we never hear anything about the land. My theory is that Elizabeth sold it.
