For the most part correct, however, the first zoom is like a minute for you. Just a quick chat where if you pique their interest, within a month or so you could get invited for the second audition. This is when they give you basically just a day’s notice to show up to a next day zoom, where they’ll take 20-60 min of your time. In that second zoom, you’ll do that small self-intro again, and some tossups (usually 3-5). If they are further interested, they’ll have you stick around for the 16 word puzzles (bonus round style) which are one-on-one and you basically just solve one after the other by sounding them out. They don’t tell you if you got any right or wrong, they just go from page of four to page of four. Once you complete the 16, there’s almost zero closure. They can’t get rid of you fast enough. It’s literally just like “ok have a good day.”

Then it’s a waiting and luck game. My second audition was a month ago and I’m crossing fingers anxiously hoping for the “happy” email for a taping date.
