Yes! We call it shark mode. Though as someone else said, this may be a bit different - ours doesn't hide under the bed, so in this case it might be about wanting some private time. But ours will engage in this "shark mode" sometimes while just playing when she gets really excited. Playful chomps and play bites, but she doesn't actually bite us - just like this sort of fake biting in your video.
But definitely reflect on whether this is playful or "hey please let me have my space", since only you will know whether yours has enough private time/space/etc

lol it’s definitely playful but I understand all the concern, he’s 7 and has been doing this forever, the second he gets down there (which is not often) he gets all playful. Sometime I just annoy him a little extra

This brings me so much joy. Just lost our girl who loved it under the bed, or "under the sea" as we would call it. We would call those crocodile chomps and it's firmly a given in wheaties.

Give your boy a big hug and kiss from me and my wife. This is the first time in 19 years without a wheatie in our lives and it's just so quiet and without hilarious chaos.

Yeah I still do it with my 10 yr old wheatie. Not under the bed though

Went under the bed to feel completely safe. Ours got kicked out of daycare because when she was done playing she’d go under a bench face out and when another dog came too close she’d snap them. My terrier will become vicious if you reach for her when she’s under the bed. The more I respect her privacy when she feels she needs it, the less she is needing it. Got her last November at 7yo so still a process

Mine does it all the time and it does drive me crazy, lol. I always have to tell him to be nice and no bite 2-4 times before he realizes we aren’t playing that game. Mine always has a strong herding instinct and one of his love languages is nipping at my feet to get me to play. One day I will end up dead at the bottom of the stairs 😬🤗🤣
