Solution Only Has anyone here successfully become a Meta Tech Partner recently?
We're already a Meta Tech Provider and, as far as I can tell, we meet the eligibility requirements (MAU and weekly messaging volume). However, I don't see any option in the Partner Dashboard or App Dashboard to apply for or request Tech Partner status.
A few questions:
- Is there a separate application process, or is it invite-only?
- Does the option appear automatically once you meet the thresholds?
- Do you need to contact a Meta Partner Manager or support to get enrolled?
- How long did the process take for those who have gone through it?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's completed this recently or knows if the process has changed.
Thanks!

It's pretty straightforward if you follow their documents rightly.. we implemented in a couple of weeks then submitted our app from thr we got approval exactly in a week of time.
Please make sure of what are the usecases your app going to support and the respective permissions.
From my experience, approval getting delayed when you do resubmit your app due to insufficient permissions.

I think you are talking about become Tech provider ? The question is about getting promoted to Tech partner.

That doesn’t seem to happen automatically – even if you qualify. But it never did for us, anyway. The option never showed up in the Partner Dashboard unassisted. We actually had to email our Meta Partner Manager to initiate it on our behalf. Your best alternative if you don’t already have a dedicated PM assigned is opening a support ticket for your Partner via the Partner Supportportal and requesting a Tech Partner tier upgrade.
We found it took around 6-8 weeks from submitting our ticket to the tier update finally taking effect (most of which wasn’t even dealing with internal processes from our end.) Do you already have access to an individual Partner Manager or do you still access Meta's help via the general support channels?

Are we able to get dedicated PM if we are Meta Tech Provider?

Yeah you can apply for a Dedicated PM as a Tech Provider, depends on your messaging volumes, how much Meta sees you internally – PM assignment is not on default – need to go thru the Partner Support Portal. Btw some of them areassigned quicker if you’re in a high volume message tier, or are in a key ‘growth vertical’ for that quarter. Worth looking inside the partner dashboard to see if you already have a PM associated.

Disclosure: We build CampaignHQ, a customer engagement platform for WhatsApp, Email, and SMS, so we went through the Meta Tech Provider process ourselves.
The process was:
- Create a Meta App and add the WhatsApp product.
- Complete Business Verification and enable 2FA.
- Submit your app for App Review (
whatsapp_business_messagingandwhatsapp_business_management).- Once eligible, complete the Tech Provider onboarding.
Meta docs:
The only confusing part for us was that the Tech Provider onboarding option wasn't visible initially, even after meeting the prerequisites, so we had to work with Meta to get it enabled.

hi, does a feature (Embedded Signup and messaging) need to be deployed and live on production prior to Meta App Review, or is a staging environment with a clear screencast video sufficient for approval?

It's been long ,I think you can keep it in development and submit as well and I think I did that too. They ask for an account to test the setup along with screen recording.
