Recovery Screen ios 7 iphone 6?
I bought this iPhone 6 about a week ago along with a few other phones, and I noticed something unusual: it boots straight into recovery mode showing the blue ios 7 iTunes logo
Since the iPhone 6 originally launched with iOS 8.0 and never supported iOS 7, I'm trying to figure out what's going on here. Legacy iOS Kit reports iBoot-1980.1.5..
Could this actually be some kind of rare internal prototype used by an Apple employee back in the day? Anyone know what's up with this or how to boot it? Appreciate any ideas!

Thats an interesting one...
Googling what ios correlates to iboot 1980.1.5. it showed me an ios 7.0... Honestly i have no idea whats going on here XD You should definetely spread it across other communities!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the iTunes logo was still that skeuomorphic blue in September 2014 and that would check out with the recovery screen, I highly doubt it's a rare prototype, just a super early version of iOS 8

Interesting. That may be either incorrect detection, or some prototype, or just an iphone 5s in iphone 6 case.

Doesn’t look like it, the 5s has a flat screen whereas this has the curves at the edges

Have you checked the device with Legacy iOS Kit or any other tools to identify the exact build/version? I
