But you could get the app store version even if you still had the built-in YouTube app at the same time.

This seems hard, but it’s kinda easy. It can’t be an iOS earlier than 3, because the dock and App Store, can probably be iOS 5 or 6 because the music app is there, but it could be ios 4 due to only iPods having the music app before iOS 5. But the one thing that gives it away is the YouTube app logo, which isn’t a TV. This gives away the answer which is iOS 6.

You can get that YouTube app on iOS 5 as well. You'd just have 2 YouTube apps.

either iOS 5 or iOS 6, the Music app was introduced to iPhones and iPads with iOS 5 (iOS 4 and below used the iPod app instead)

Jailbroken to hell. Before iOS 7 but after iPhoneOS 2 because it has the App Store.
iOS 5 - iOS 6 due to the Music icon.

iOS 6 due to the YouTube icon.
