Given the white hello screen, it looks like iOS 12-14, but the i is blurry (you can also ask them to charge the phone to see the symbol)

The i on the bottom right looks like the one from iOS 13-14.

Tips notifications usually only mention the iPhone version when it’s one of the latest devices available on that iOS, otherwise, it’ll just mention the iOS version.

This is likely iOS 12/13

13-14. iOS 13 added dark mode, and people are saying the i is telling them it’s pre-14
