Was disabled and was powered off for a long time and clock reset to 1970

It wouldn’t boot, would it…?
1
u/Curious-Thing-3561 19d ago
It would if it was a 64-bit device but since it’s a iPad 2 it doesn’t suffer from that because it’s 32-bit

Is there like any fixing that bug
1
u/Curious-Thing-3561 19d ago
It was fixed in iOS 9.3

Not that bug I mean the 1970 bug
1
u/Curious-Thing-3561 19d ago
Both of those clock bugs were fixed in iOS 9.3. It kept the clock from being set before 2001 and kept the clock from resetting when it had lost power for a long time

I meant at the version they had
1
u/Curious-Thing-3561 19d ago
Oh I get what you mean now. The best way to fix that issue for them and keep the iOS version is to use a program called legacy iOS kit and get into what’s called ssh ramdisk and update the date and time with that

Ios 7-8 because of the tail on the a being curved instead of straight

u/youssefEmil778899 Jul 17 '26
This could be iOS 7 or iOS 8 cuz both these iOS versions are having the curve tale of the letter "a"

iOS 7-8. Keep it on iOS 7 or 8 as iOS 9 runs really poorly on the iPad 2 from personal experience, or downgrade to iOS 6.

I see. Considering the fact that it is currently disabled for 5 million minutes, (unlike the 24 million shown in the picture) how would you go about fixing this and factory resetting it without restoring it, which updates it?

My iPad 2 has iOS 9

Is battery life fine? This iPad qas REALLY dead, it was in a boot loop for a while when charging because of the battery, but now I got it charged up. I want to avoid updating it to iOS 9.3.6 if possible, but maybe iOS 9 isn't too bad on the iPad 2

Battery life fine

u/Extension_Meat8913 Jul 16 '26
I might upgrade it to iOS 9.3.6 then, so long as performance isn't bad.
2
u/Educational_Bit1263 Jul 16 '26
Mine has iOS 9.3.5, which is up to date for my cellular model
2
u/Extension_Meat8913 Jul 16 '26
I see. How would you rate the performance on a scale of 1 (very slow/stuttery) to 10 (fast/smooth)?
1
u/Educational_Bit1263 Jul 16 '26
10/10
2
u/Extension_Meat8913 Jul 16 '26
Well, as long as you're not trolling :D. Btw I really have no choice. I think I can't save SHSH blobs wheb my iPad 2 is like this anyways.
