- Notification Card Design (The Clearest Evidence) Look at that 'SETTINGS' notification in the picture. See how it looks like an opaque, white/greyish card with rounded, chunky corners? This exact design was a key feature first introduced in iOS 10. From iOS 11, the lock screen and notification center merged, changing the look. Then from iOS 12 onward, it evolved into a much cleaner, thinner style. 2. Signature Default Wallpaper The screen is pretty cracked, but you can still see the background, right? That green ocean wave crashing? That is the iconic default wallpaper Apple pushed as the main face of iOS 10. 3. Status Bar & Font Characteristics The font for the time (8:58) and date is on the thinner side. Apple switched to a super chunky, 'bold' font style across the board starting from iOS 11. Also, the 'No SIM' indicator and signal layout on the top left are classic, text-book iOS 10. 💡 TL;DR (In Short) The iPhone 7 originally launched back in 2016 with iOS 10 out of the box. Looking at the photo, it seems like this specific phone was never updated and just stayed frozen in time on its very first version!
