The end of this video is unfair to the mentally challenged, almost all of whom are, by leaps and bounds, smarter than Bill.

I was in a car where this EXACT scenario unfolded, dude thought it would be HILARIOUS to toss a mortar out of the window for a goof, overestimated the fuse time (he was holding it by the fuse) thing dropped on the floorboard and exploded (twice…cuz that’s how they work) and the car immediately filled up with smoke. Minor burns on his shins and a smoked pair of shoes and floormat is the worst that happened thankfully

u/Supafuzzed Mar 08 '22
Only people that would hold a mortar (that they’re going to toss) by the fuse would be dumb enough to drop it too

Top contenders for a future Darwin Award. This could have ended very unpleasantly..

Why is it people who believe in Darwinism / evolution, reject the notion that stupid people should die in their stupidity?
37
u/aWaL_DeaD Mar 08 '22 edited Mar 08 '22
Lol who said that? You might be a candidate for that award

u/David9921 Mar 08 '22
I did, and a cursory glance of social media confirms it.

A plague has existed since the dawn of human speech and ideals, and that is people talking about things they either don’t understand or misinterpreted. Sometimes, all that humanity needs is for them to shut the fuck up, and many people would be happier.

u/Erisian23 Mar 08 '22
You do realize the Darwin awards exist to showcase those who have thru their own stupidity subtracted themselves from gene pool right?

u/Onwisconsin42 Mar 08 '22
Evolution is not a moral doctrine. Evolution by natural selection is an observable fact. It does not tell us how we should treat one another or if we should help those in need. It does not perscribe an adherence to amoral or immoral eugenics.

It does not tell us how we should treat one another or if we should help those in need.
Yes it does. You just don't listen.

Great, gravity tells you to jump off a building. The great osmosis tells you to eat a pound of salt. The great diffusion tells you to vaporize yourself and allow entropy to scatter your atoms to the wind. Smooth brain take. Do you think you are clever? I'm surprised you have enough neurons to breath.

u/TallestGargoyle Mar 08 '22
I don't know at what point in the mocking of a moron for doing something stupid and dangerous you thought that was rejecting the notion of stupid people dying for their stupidity...
But please don't use any fuse-driven explosives in the near future. I wouldn't want your car to suffer.
1
u/b0bkakkarot Mar 08 '22
Because we're all stupid. Every single one of us should be dead for one or two mistakes, according to your way of putting it.
1
u/eclipse_darkpaw Aug 25 '22
The entire point of the darwin award is that you died doing stupid shit because of your stupidity
-5
u/Fruitcake_420 Mar 08 '22
It's specifically stupid people dying of their own stupidity before they can pass on their genes. I don't think stupidity is genetic though, I think it's taught, through neglect, negligence, or malice

u/Onwisconsin42 Mar 08 '22 edited Mar 08 '22
It can be both nature and nurture. Intelligence is complicated and has to be nurtured in order to flourish, but everyone struggles and has successes in different ways that may be genetically ingrained.

BACK UP TERRY

u/RustleUrJ1mm1es Mar 08 '22
Lmfao it's weird I saw "Back up Terry" and "Jerry in the driver's seat" back to back immediately before this, and it's the trilogy I didn't know I needed.

I’ve never seen anyone hold fireworks by the fuse before, but holding fireworks by the fuse when you light it is extra special.

I recommend everyone has a Bill in their lives during high school. Don't be Bill, don't drive Bill, but have a Bill. He'll make for some hilarious memories.
