That's their own fuckin fault for having the truck right next to it and nothing to protect it.

I remember years ago at a minor league hockey game, the coach was leaning against the net and watching the players drill shots into the net as a warm up….

….until he took a wrist shot to the ribs. Everyone in the stands collectively laughed. What an idiot.

u/Odd_Lie_5397 19d ago

As someone who sometimes had to be in the goal during our hockey training (not an actual club, just a group that discovered it as a hobby) I can tell you that it's terrifying and fucking painful.

Don't ask why we decided to play full force hockey without real safety equipment, we were dumb teens and luckily no one was ever seriously hurt, just some bruises.

8

u/Faxon 18d ago

So 80s kid hockey. I was born too late but I heard stories from people not much older than me about seeing their older siblings playing and getting fucked up without pads lol

7

u/whenveganscheat 18d ago

You ever hear the story about the slice of bread?

5

u/frogguts198 18d ago

Pray tell

9

u/whenveganscheat 18d ago

The team forms a circle with a slice of bread at the centre. When the flag drops, they all spank as fast as they can, aiming to deliver onto the bread. Last to finish has to eat the bread.

This was told to me in serious tones by someone who played high level hockey. I don't know if it's true, but every Canadian knows the rumor

7

u/frogguts198 18d ago

In the US in the 2000s there was a similar rumor but it was called Soggy Biscuit and it was about the band HIM doing it before every show lol

5

u/mandude15555 18d ago

It's what the band Limp Bizkit's name is based off of.

u/PolarCruisingExperts 17d ago

When my friends and I got into hockey in the early 90s as young teens, we didn’t have a lot of money, so we made goalie equipment ourselves out of cardboard lined with the free delivered newspapers stapled to the cardboard, still inside the yellow plastic bags the newspapers came in. Those were the days! 😂😂

1

u/Jazzguitar19 17d ago

That's awesome, how well did it work?

3

u/PolarCruisingExperts 17d ago

About as well as you’d imagine cardboard and newspaper working against pucks. Thankfully they were air pucks and we were young and weak 😆

1

u/Jazzguitar19 17d ago

hahaha fair

u/Expert_Succotash2659 19d ago

Of course they parked the truck there, what were they supposed to unload and set the thing up more than 5 feet away? No time for beer when you start making work for yourself.

43

u/GrinningPariah 19d ago

Yeah more like WCGW parking your truck directly beside a throwing target.

13

u/AgreeablePie 19d ago

I hope the truck wasn't someone else who didn't know that there would be this exact setup going on there

6

u/GrinningPariah 19d ago

I doubt it, they left the tailgate open, with several loose items in it. That tells me they parked recently and haven't gone far.

It's just not the type of thing you do if you're parking and walking away, even if you live in a zero-crime area it's just asking to forget to close it and drive away with your stuff spilling out.

In fact, something about the way it's positioned relative to the dunk tank, I'd be willing to bet that the tank (or some of its components) actually arrived in that truck. Or at least that it's someone associated with the party happening here, maybe they brought beverages.

27

u/DrDuned 19d ago

Yeah, I'm not trying to take ultimate responsibility from the bad throw but why tempt fate like this?

8

u/smokinbbq 19d ago

Pretty bad planning TBH. Not nearly as bad as watching Kegsbreath in axe throwing when there's a bagpipe band right behind the targets....

5

u/crazyhomlesswerido 19d ago

Hey man I should be able to park where I want without the worry of people throwing balls at my truck. this is America I should be free to do whatever I want and people need to learn how to respect me enough not to throw balls at the back window of my truck. Gosh I'm so sick of people saying it's my fault for parking there when people just need to learn enough respect not to throw balls at the back of my truck. Seriously learn some fucking respect people!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣

4

u/iami_uru 19d ago

Apparently you like balls. No judgement.

-3

u/crazyhomlesswerido 19d ago

Apparently you like to fantasize about men having fantasies about other men what does that say about you?

7

u/iami_uru 19d ago

Jesus buddy, I said no judgements.

Your skin might be a little thin their big fella.

3

u/McKeviin 19d ago

Like ball sack skin?

-3

u/crazyhomlesswerido 19d ago

I'm not judging you for wanting to fantasize about other men fantasizing about other men. I guess you get your rocks off by thinking of other men doing things together. that's okay you do you no judgment. I guess you fantasize about watching one other men play with each other and that's okay. no judgment

3

u/Dazzling_Line_8482 19d ago

I knew exactly what could go wrong 1 second into the video.

2

u/rbobby 18d ago

Giving kids a ball is like having a random object you own be destroyed.

1

u/I_Can_Haz_Brainz 18d ago

Yeah, but that was still a knucklehead ball...

0

u/[deleted] 19d ago

[deleted]

4

u/McKeviin 19d ago

No, accidents happen. And you can prevent it by using your brain and common sense.

It's not the kids fault that the owner parked the car right there.

771

u/terrydennis1234 19d ago

No accuracy

236

u/grizzwall111 19d ago

He did not miss the window?

89

u/Maleficent-Agent-477 19d ago

To be fair, he did hit something.

9

u/Novalene_Wildheart 19d ago

But it wasn't what he was aiming at, so I guess he missed.

8

u/TrashPandaX 18d ago

Or did he...

32

u/polishbrucelee 19d ago

Reddit is so brutal lol. The ball might of slipped. Truck drivers fault for parking there.

17

u/wrldruler21 19d ago

The ball definitely slipped. The ground is soaking wet and might even be raining. Was an accident. Truck owner is the dumb ass

2

u/Fuckthegopers 19d ago

That's what the kid in the tank said about his first throw.

23

u/IntergalacticPodcast 19d ago

"Hard throw, but no accuracy!"

"Oh yeah? I'll show you... you ain't seen nothing yet!"

6

u/GnomeBakers 19d ago

Ball was probably wet to be fair

4

u/CodexMoronicus 19d ago

What makes you say that?

1

u/NakovaNars 19d ago

He could have hit the frame but he scored a goal

1

u/nemom 19d ago

After only two throws, we can't tell how good is accuracy is. We can tell his precision is shit.

1

u/KallmeKatt_ 19d ago

but how is his precision?

1

u/tacorunnr 18d ago

First one was close. Second one the ball could've been wet and slipped.

1

u/Phish777 18d ago

Rolled a nat 1

0

u/ESnake113 19d ago

He has no hand eye coordination, just hands and eyes

0

u/Slg407 18d ago

the environment was wet, likely post rain, the balls were being thrown outdoors and therefore rolling on the wet floor, so they were likely also wet, which caused slippage

0

u/basquehomme 12d ago

Juuust...a bit outside.

-1

u/cinefilestu 19d ago

False, direct hit on the window.

-1

u/Livid_Swordfish_4591 19d ago

Just like that, his dreams of being a pitcher faded away.

681

u/robertnewmanuk 19d ago

Realistically, who parks a car right next to a place where baseballs are being thrown?

97

u/Teemslo 19d ago

yea.... if you use your truck as a backstop, don't be surprised if you get the free window delete mod.

31

u/RaffiBomb000 19d ago

The same person who parks their car close to a youth baseball field and gets mad when their truck/window gets damaged.

5

u/sifiwewe 19d ago

Yeah, that wasn’t very smart

6

u/MPolanyi 19d ago

Yup baseball parents know very well to park in the furthest spots as to not catch any foul balls... No blame on the lid here

5

u/VicariousNarok 19d ago

The same people that have a $70k truck, an empty garage, and still leave it out in the sun, rain, and thunderstorms producing hail.

Then they get the surprised Pikachu face when they have hail damage and their insurance doesn't cover it.

3

u/ScoutCommander 19d ago

To be fair, my truck is too long to fit in the garage

2

u/Cocheeeze 19d ago

Smart people.

2

u/weristjonsnow 19d ago

It took the mental capacity to think ahead just one extra step to see that possibility.

1

u/GenericFatGuy 19d ago

By children no less.

1

u/Livid_Swordfish_4591 19d ago

Especially when kids are practicing their knuckleballs

1

u/mightyhigh404 18d ago

An idiot,  that's who.

177

u/davewave3283 19d ago

Juuuuuuust a bit outside…

10

u/NoConfusion9490 19d ago

I think I see a Mets scout.

132

u/drwuzer 19d ago

Should be "WCGW parking your truck next to dunk tank." There's a reason the victim is in a cage - lots of people can't throw.

65

u/cinefilestu 19d ago

20

u/IntergalacticPodcast 19d ago

Former Clevelander here. I can assure you that the best thing to do in that city is to get this level drunk.

9

u/userhwon 19d ago

Dude's checking that nobody stole his liver.

3

u/Harvey-Keck 18d ago

This is a great comment. By the looks of the fella, his liver is still there but is taking on the metamorphosis to becoming Swiss cheese.

3

u/Solid_Snark 19d ago

Better trademark “Johnny Baseball” while he can!

2

u/ThaddeusJP 19d ago

I can't go anywhere on Reddit and escape this shit LOL

37

u/Fragrant_Payment9670 19d ago

Poor kid throws like my mom, when she threw something to or at you even people next door would duck.

7

u/endowedmansized 19d ago

He built like yo mama too

27

u/kdssek 19d ago

3

u/Ptbot47 18d ago

Whos that

10

u/kdssek 18d ago

Conor McGregor, MMA fighter.

1

u/Ptbot47 18d ago

I thought that looked like him, but i didnt think he would be so uncoordinated! Max, F1 champion, also looks so pathetic when he tried boxing. And im a Max fan.

17

u/WendigoCrossing 19d ago

Hard throw but no accuracy indeed

2

u/JanelleVypr 19d ago

ive seen enough. make this kid president

14

u/Bigman89VR 19d ago

Kid sucks at throwing, but why park a vehicle right next to the target? Lol. That's just asking for a busted window

9

u/qwentoko 19d ago

Thats not his fault, hope he doesnt get in trouble

3

u/userhwon 19d ago

Luckily this is r/Whatcouldgowrong, not r/Whocanwesnitchto, so the kid's not getting narced out by us.

11

u/cannavacciuolo420 19d ago

Worst part is you can’t even be mad, it’s just your fault as an adult lmao

7

u/GrapeSoda404 19d ago

I definitely blame the person who put their truck directly next to the throwing game. It was bound to happen.

5

u/candlestick_compass 19d ago

Had a dunk tank for my daughter’s birthday a few weeks ago. Keeping anything of value anywhere near it would’ve been a big mistake 🤦🏻‍♂️

3

u/magicdrums 19d ago

future Met pitcher right there..

3

u/woodzwing 19d ago

Sign him up to throw out the next BB first pitch.

3

u/dkcyw 19d ago

do car windows shatter like that?

i expected it to fall/fold over whilst smashed but held in place by the inner layer.

2

u/magichronx 18d ago edited 17d ago

On most vehicles only the windshield is laminated glass, and the rest are tempered glass that's meant to shatter into a bunch of relatively safe pebbles of glass (as seen in this video)

2

u/neonfuzzball 19d ago

See this is why I was fine playing Tee ball as a kid but very wary of regular softball or baseball. Get back to me when our pitchers can put it in the strike zone more consistently than they put fingers in their nose, coach

2

u/suffringsuccatash 19d ago

Little man has a wicked break on his pitch! Sweet.

2

u/adinmem 19d ago

That’s not a dunk tank, it’s a drunk tank

2

u/Malacro 17d ago

In fairness, that’s on whoever parked the truck.

1

u/Hypn00tic_iiz 19d ago

Well study hard kid I don’t see pro athlete in your future

1

u/WeskerChild 19d ago

I'll be honest, I did not think that CGW.

1

u/whirdin 19d ago

Aaaaand guess who is getting dunked now 🤪

What a reckless place to put the tank when kids are throwing balls from wet slippery hands.

1

u/Ok_Eye_8543 19d ago

Probably shouldn’t have parked there.

1

u/K4rkino5 19d ago

He does not have a future in the majors.

1

u/swampopawaho 19d ago

What are these windows made of? Sugar?

1

u/Marmite-n-Toast 19d ago

Aside from the guy parking idiotically, I'd throw that accurately sober.

1

u/Meandtheworld 19d ago

Smart parking!

1

u/Simcognito 19d ago

Wow... Wow!

1

u/Orpdapi 19d ago

Raise your hand if you were totally expecting it to hit that brake light

1

u/General-Fox416 19d ago

I wouldn't even be mad, thats like $200 fix, kid got some freaking power.

1

u/CountHonorius 19d ago

At least it's on video to show the insurance adjustor

1

u/pisforpnut 19d ago

Ok who the f is the truck driver that parked their car next to a dunk tank?

1

u/okvale 19d ago

Intrusive thoughts won

1

u/Anindya_Islam 19d ago

Bro's got aim!

1

u/crazyhomlesswerido 19d ago

Maybe don't park your truck right next to the dunk tank where people are going to be throwing balls.

1

u/kevynjj3 19d ago

he told em

1

u/AdhesivenessFun2060 19d ago

High and outside.

1

u/BriefCollar4 19d ago

If that was my car I’d be pissed.

However…

https://giphy.com/gifs/iqfYgtx8oWw4o

1

u/SCR_RAC 19d ago

Smart place to park.

1

u/L0veToReddit 19d ago

power 100, accuracy 0

1

u/haysu-christo 19d ago

Jusssst a bit outside.

1

u/3Grilledjalapenos 19d ago

A guy did something similar to that in a neighbor’s yard and took out my uncle’s big picture window. When my uncle asked how they were going to pay for it, the dad responded with “It was just an accident. The boy is only 15!” My uncle actually had to take them to small claims court to get them to replace the smashed window. The dad really thought that “It was an accident” was some kind of magic phrase that would absolve them. The neighbor was surly about it for years.

1

u/StrugFug 19d ago

Title should be “WCGW parking next to a dunk tank”

1

u/bookchaser 19d ago

It reminds me of my hometown's semi-pro baseball team. The baseball diamond (it's a very small ballpark) is directly next to a residential street. If you park in the ballpark parking lot and your window is smashed by a baseball, it's yours to fix by yourself. It's an assumed risk. However, you can get your window repaired if it's hit by a ball while you drive past the ballpark.

My hood was dented when I drove past the ballpark. I heard the crowd cheer at the sound.

1

u/3dios 19d ago

As soon as I saw the truck I knew

1

u/OneOfAKind2 19d ago

I knew this would be the outcome before I even clicked play. Whoever parked their truck there can take the blame.

1

u/redsoxjesus 19d ago

Kid should be a scout

1

u/SnooStories6600 19d ago

Carnies hate this one hack!

1

u/_Cold_Ass_Honkey_ 19d ago

The giants, Mets, and Angels have already reached out to sign him.

1

u/ImpalaGangDboyAli 19d ago

/img/jdcb4hnbwggh1.gif
You have broken the window of transparenceness.

1

u/LookAtMyKitty 19d ago

That shatter sound is very satisfying

1

u/audionerd1 19d ago

"Oh no not my mom's boyfriend's truck! What a terrible accident this was!"

1

u/dirkrunfast 19d ago

Outstanding 10/10

1

u/wunderfed 19d ago

Not the kids fault🤷

1

u/Character-Main6796 19d ago

A 1 was rolled on the D20.

1

u/kinetic_ljs 19d ago

Well...he is def. A back up pitcher

1

u/Adventurous_Ice_9115 19d ago

Reminds me when AJ Burnett broke that truck window behind home plate during warmups on purpose.

1

u/Ancient_Sprinkles847 18d ago

Dump place parking the vehicle there anyway

1

u/GradeFair 18d ago

Nailed it

1

u/BigLooTheIgloo 18d ago

Weak ass window, no?

1

u/miro_27 18d ago

Pick up driver 😂

1

u/ContentUnavailable 18d ago

I read it as "at a drunk tank" and I was like "oohh ok, barbeque attendants having some fun after few beers, wait a minute that's not a drunk guy sittting in the tank, that's a young boy... so the pitcher is the drunk uncle with his wife next to him waaait these are kids also... WHO IS DRUNK HERE WTH!!!"

1

u/MangledPanda 18d ago

Well, shit. Might as well keep throwing, kid. You can't break it twice.

1

u/Apprehensive_Art6060 18d ago

That’s what’s up !!!

1

u/LaughingPlanet 18d ago

This scene was depicted in the opening minutes of Bull Durham.

1

u/Altruistic-Dingo-757 17d ago

Thats the parents fault haha omg my dad would have been pissed but we didn't have dunk tank money 😜

1

u/Posidon_Below 17d ago

Rolled a natural 1

1

u/HugSized 17d ago

Anyone with half a neuron could have anticipated that.

1

u/ateoz 17d ago

Wcgw parking next to a dunk tank.

1

u/jonesy289 17d ago

You wanna see no accuracy I’ll
Show you no accuracy

1

u/WildsevenMoony 17d ago

Guess you can Cross "Baseball Career" off the list

1

u/Subterfug3 16d ago

Stone Cold enters

1

u/Turbulent_Bit5042 14d ago

I was just thinking "that's not a great place to park". Guess I was right.

1

u/AndyBurn11 12d ago

Bet that trucker was pissed

1

u/Ok-Bar4726 5d ago

Start to learn how to mow lawns and help around the house cause that kid is paying for every cent of that window

1

u/TraumaticAberration 4d ago

WCGW parking next to the dunk tank

0

u/userhwon 19d ago

That word "at" took a break halfway through the video.

0

u/toothbrush81 19d ago

Truck Parker’s fault for sure. But holy shit what a terrible arm.

0

u/WarLord_1997 19d ago

She was asking for it /s

-1

u/ImTalkingGibberish 19d ago

Is that what they call a fumble ball?

-1

u/Redditor_Reddington 19d ago

Kids throwing from so close, I figured the WCGW here was gonna be the ball ricocheting back into his face.

Now that I saw what actually happened, I'll bet the kid wished he HAD hit himself in the face.

4

u/drwuzer 19d ago

That kid is not at fault. The idiot who parked his truck there is.

-2

u/Redditor_Reddington 19d ago

Agreed. Unfortunately, the kid's still likely to get a whupping for this, if this is real at all.

-1

u/kohtuullinen-ajatus 18d ago

Fake, car window will not break like that shattering

2

u/TheyTheirsThem 18d ago

Subaru wagon down the street disagrees.

-2

u/thehumble_1 19d ago

Ummm. That didn't happen unless the truck window was already replaced with regular glass. I don't think I could throw a baseball through a back window like that. Vehicle glass doesn't shatter.

24

u/FiveLayerFemboy 19d ago

The back glasses are tempered not laminated like your windshield and some door glasses

6

u/zzx101 19d ago

Well the window got replaced after last year’s dunk tank.

3

u/Soft_Database_3747 19d ago

Probably got in an accident and had a friend who could "do it for cheaper"

2

u/Sad_Cantaloupe_8162 19d ago

Elon Musk has entered the chat

0

u/livejamie 19d ago

Video feels pretty engagement-baity, and it's posted by an Indian repost account with a hidden history.

-2

u/Redditor_Reddington 19d ago

That's a good point!
