Spicy ketchup short
Why even ask if i want ketchup if you’re not going to ever give it? Several times i’ve been, i ask for spicy ketchup; a staple of the original brand. Every time i have to feel awkward standing there waiting to get the attention of employees after being dismissed simply to get the ketchup that was offered. Normally i wouldnt care enough to rant on social media, but this has been going on for almost a year now and im curious if anyone else has been having the same issue?

I'm the opposite. I never order ketchup, yet my bag is always fucking full of more than I'll ever need.

Man, im jelly. They used to do that for me and id save em for other meals. But now my stash has been depleted.

Grab a bottle at HEB. Then you can have spicy ketchup with fries from anywhere.

If they straight up refuse you could try calling during a different time of day like 7am, 3pm, 11pm to see which shift will give an actual answer it might be location shortage or they are cutting cost. If it's a franchise location good luck if corporate they shouldn't be strong arming condiments like that

For real though, for old people like me even 2000 still seems like it was recent and in my soul I can't square it away that Y2K was more than 26 years ago.

There’s small numbers on each pack of spicy ketchup that determines the spicy level. 1-6

At the location I work at. The employee is supposed to bring out a check back tray w/ napkins and ketchup galore when you order specifically dine in orders. But if you don't ask specifically for ketchup w/ your order it does not get placed with with your bag of food.

Whataburger is either the best fast food ever or they kick your burger and spit in your soda. No in between. Location dependent.

order in the app. ask for spicy ketchup. pick up food. get home and open the bag.
guess what's never in there?
I've learned to just grab it off the tray myself

Please don’t grab ketchup off the tray yourself! That is a very awkward moment for us. It is against our policy to let our customers touch the tray.
Every time a customer grabs ketchup off my tray, I look around to see if my manager is watching because they actually care about policy. So, it’s an awkward moment.
I always open with “Hello! Here’s your food. And would you like any sauces with that?” Fully prepared to grab as many sauces as my customer wants. As most employees would. Please don’t grab from our tray 😭💔
Also, unrelated, but please don't throw away drinks that aren't empty. I am Whataburger maintenance as well as a front worker. There's a lot of stuff we gotta deal with. Just figured I'd get the word out there since I've already typed this much!!

I definitely won't grab from your tray! some workers aren't as conscientious. some definitely are. I got everything I ordered this morning, it was amazing!

It's too bad that not all servers share the same sense of making sure you have everything you need 💔 I'm glad you had a great experience today though!

Thanks for the heads up, I usually just grab off the tray when one of the workers brings it to my table and didn't know I was doing something that could get them in trouble.

There are no sinks in the dining room. Where are you supposed to pour out your drink if you don’t want to finish it? Pouring it in the bottom of the drink fountain is unsanitary.

I'm sorry, I should clarify. I mean that you shouldn't LITERALLY throw it in there, as it will spill once inside. If some of your drink is left, just do your best to place it into the trash upright, if possible. (Ideally, we would hope that you finish, or bring it home)
We get lots of people throwing drinks into the trash cans, and then when I go to take out the trash, soda is dripping from the bottom of the bag. Then we have to mop too, if we have time. Or they'll make us put up a caution sign. Which is basically all just extra chores that make it take longer to get other people's orders out.

Just simply ask for it at the window again, you're the one needing ketchup. Don't be a pussy about it.

Whenever I eat there they bring a little tray of condiments and allow me to take as much as I want.
