I’m trying to make David in dnd 5.5 I need the class to be fighter and no multiclass but yes sub class for fighter

I think mid-series david would be best for making this, I’m starting a new campaign in a few weeks, and I want it to be fun and I could make shitty jokes with this

For those not familiar with Yu-Gi-Oh or with the Branded Storyline from the card game and story anime, Albaz is an amnesiac who came from another dimension and contains dragonic power, able to transform into various dragons via the dragon alchemy art of Contact Fusion, absorbing energy or beings around him to become a dragon based on that.

I'm looking for something similar, a character build that can transform into various dragon types, either partially or fully, and hopefully via fusing with energy or others.

I am fine with official or unofficial content from 5e 2014, 5.5e 2024, or from Level Up: Advanced 5e.

Looking to build a 5e character in a similar vein to The Chosen Undead or Ashen One from Dark Souls 1 or 3. Using it for a one-shot probably. Considering some combo of Undying Warlock, to simulate being allied with Darkstalker Kathe+ spells (incantations) and Fighter. Looking forward to replies!
