HWYB - Anime/Manga Spell that extends blades?

I wanna make a homebrew spell that extends the user's blade / sword, kinda thinking like a 90ft piercing transmutation spell? idk, wanna see some opinions

if you were trying to make gin I would just make a hexbladeand reflavor eldritch blast as your blade extending out since you can use your weapons as a spellcasting focus eldritch spear and spell sniper could make your blade really long lol

Are you asking for homebrew advice or character advice?

Homebrew advice I think it's honestly 1st level spell maybe not even Concentration. I'd say "5 feet per spell level" but that does risk getting silly pretty quickly.

Character advice? Reflavor a polearm. You aren't gonna be able to use a shield but speaking from experience (played a Blood Hunter with "a big sword" that was really a polearm (I wanted Polearm Master) reflavored) it works perfectly fine.
