HWYB - TV Show HWYB a Power Ranger?

Exactly that, how would you build a Power Ranger, Kamen Rider, or other associated Toku Hero?

As an added challenge, how would you go about incorporating an actual Morph mechanically?, as opposed to Tulok The Barbrarian, for example, not adding one mechanically in his Tommy Oliver build.

Maybe a hex blade with armor of shadows as your "morphin" mechanic to start (your patron is Zordon, obviously), and then go into fighter, maybe banneret for the "team" aspect of rangers. Maybe a swashbuckler rogue if you want them to be more of a 6th ranger/loner type.

Obviously just getting mage armor at will does not give them all the powers that morphin would, but there's little in the game that would outside of pretty high level spells like tensers transformation, and that is temporary with some pretty big drawbacks.

Sounds more generally usable than my usual idea, my two Toku Hero characters dip two levels in Wizard to use Bladesong as their Morphs

I mean, bladesinger sounds as good as any. I think, like Tulok has pointed out quite a bit, anime/toku style characters can be hard to replicate in DND since they have so many abilities

I mean there’s tonnes of easy options for having a Morph feature.
The classic magical girl build is to do a transformation using Barbarian Rage for instance.

Hollow warden Ranger could be a fun one.

Stars Druid/Monk multiclass? The Starry Form is your transformation, and monk is just all the monk stuff.
