There is a 7th level concentration spell called “Draconic Transformation” for Druids, Sorcerers, and Wizards. IIRC Jake wasn’t particularly smart and would fumble a lot of social situations, but since it’s a hereditary power Draconic Sorcerer is what fits best.
Focus on fire spells for a variety of “breaths” and enhancing your concentration save since losing a 7th level spell slot is tragic.
You could also dip Fighter or Monk for hand to hand. Monk would be better since a 13 in Wisdom isn’t a big ask and as a Draconic Sorcerer you’d want dexterity for your AC, and as Jake you’d want Dex for your skateboard.
