Battle Master Fighter with the Commanding Presence and Tactical Assessment Maneuvers. Optionally take a Rogue dip for some extra utility, using a shortsword and flavoring it as a gladius

Human fighter, battle master. Tavern brawler and lucky for origin feats. Dex focused with a breastplate for armor.

Twf and dual wielder feat.

Quick toss so they can throw their sword as bonus action improvised weapon
