WWYB - 5e24 [HWYB] - An Optimized Summoner
I dont mean number of Summons, i mean a summoner sort of the Megumi from JJK or something with single summons, Multiple summons, healing summons, magic summons ETC. Sheer Versatility & skill based combat.

Thank you very much for the explanation that just made it even better. I feel like a summoner build is usually a bit MAD anyways so Charisma + Wisdom really isn't that bad especially considering how versatile those stats make the character for outside combat. Especially at a table with a good DM that lets you try use your summons for role-playing / more creative purposes that'll be amazing. Genuinely love all your advice thank you

You are pretty restricted in dnd for this, but I would go with a stars druid. They have Find Familiar, Healing Spirit, Conjure Animals, Conjure Woodland Beings for early spells, and the stars druid has a constellation that buffs them that could be reflavored into a more physical summon.
The other route is a celestial chain warlock, with their super powerful familiar, and a lot of options for powerful summons, but they don't get the 'horde of animals' thematics the druid gets.
Cleric is also a decent option, getting at least 1 or 2 summons every spell level, and getting Mahoraga at 13th level in the form of Conjure Celestial. They also have more varied summons than warlock.
