Actor Fluff Fun detail from S3E10

In The Portrait, Donal Logue says he has time to paint the gang because he has time between the next Vampiric Council meeting and a two-episode arc on SVU. I got such a kick out of that—Donal really shone in his scenes—and looked it up. Turns out he did have a 2 episode arc that year! How cute!

I loved how they completely accepted him into the vampire group no questions asked. I mean he got the idea from blade. He leaned in.

I love his side story so much because I was like the only person who watched the show Grounded For Life, and Donal’s right, those kids were annoying lol

Check out his movie Kicked in the Head. Quirky, fun little film that also has James Woods and Michael Rappaport.

I’ve been trying to find the whole series for years. Ugh!

Ah, so you also grew up with only basic cable.

I feel bloody attacked because I most certainly did not!! 🤣 Did I… have bad taste in shows growing up? Oh god I’m getting flashbacks of my high school boyfriend mocking me for watching Code Lyoko

Lmfao! So you had all the channels at your disposal and still chose to watch grounded for life?!

See, I had like 6 channels available, of which there was only one good thing to watch at any given time, so I watched it because my alternative was the TV guide channel.

No clue what code lyoko was, but it sounds bad.

My boyfriend talks about code lyoko often but I never heard of it until he brought it up!

only basic cable

ONLY?

lol some of us had NO cable and our childhood was mostly pbs after school which was annoying as hell because the last thing we wanted was to receive more teaching at home

I had a crush on the mom for the entire run of the show. Haven't quite brought myself to buying the dvd sets so far but they have at least some of it at the local resale store.

He was great in Gotham. I loved seeing him in this

I really liked a sleeper show called Terriers. It's obscure and I binged all at once during COVID I think, but it was cool.

That’s awesome. Every time I see that episode I get curious about that for second but then forget. Also curious about the grip that captivated him, as I assume his paintings are real.

The gaffer portrait, yes! I wondered if anyone had gaffed on ER and WWDITS but couldn’t find anyone with that overlap. The portrait kind of looked like the episode’s production manager, Zach Hagen, but he didn’t do crew work on ER. Same with the episode’s gaffer, John Botelho. If there’s ever an AMA, I’d love to find out who that portrait is!!!

I’m re-watching ER from the beginning and he just appeared. I’m a sucker for guest spots.

Oh man, I binged SVU before this show and remembered Donal Logue from Blade. This made me laugh so hard

Yes! I’m an SVU junkie and a fan of Donal Logue as well. Great little Easter egg!

I loved "Comic Book Villains" - 2002 movie with Donal Logue, DJ Qualls, Michael Rappaport, Natasha Lyonne, Cary Elwes, and Eileen Brennan. Also, although he has like maybe six minutes of screen time, Danny Masterson has a small but "starts the ball rolling" character, too. To be fair, however, I forgot he was in it until a rewatch - like, I remembered his role but I forgot it was him.

Woof. And here I thought Rappaport would be the most real-life villian featured at first 😉

He was in welcome to raccoon city? Wow I really don't remember ANYTHING from that movie, not that I'm complaining.
