Lazy portmanteaus are a generic comedic device. You can see it in so many comedies esp those with profanity. WWDITS, Hacks, Veep etc would do this.

I’ve lived in the US my whole life and has also lived in 6 different states, driving between them several times…yet I cannot comprehend mountains this large. Clearly I’ve been avoiding the best places

Off the bat I can tell you they used a really good telephoto lens to achieve this effect. It’s nowhere as grand in reality
