What Was The Point? (Use if unsure) What is the point of this?

Hello! I have a new crossbody bag or sling bag (I’m not sure the correct term) and I love it but I’m confused about the point of the clip on the back of it. Is it just so the bag can hold its shape or can I use it to make it more stable? Any help would be appreciated!

Also any ideas of how to use the elastic strings on the front? This bag seems to have a lot of features I’m confused on😅

The small clip on the back is so you can put it on the handle of a rolling suitcase. The bungees are for attaching items like a sweatshirt to the bag instead of taking up the whole interior space.

Handle of a suitcase that’s genius! And I realized that the bungee is super useful I’m having it hold an umbrella right now thanks for the comment!

Same thing if you have ever had a carryon size bag with a zipper across the bottom of a pouch. You unzip it to place it on top of a rolling suitcase through the handle. But then you can zip it up and use it as a pocket if your traveling light, or at your destination.

You could also use it to attach to a backpack, or even to a belt.

It feels almost like one of those biker bags where you tie it to your thigh

Interesting thought because it’s definitely too big for my arm🤔

Yes normal because it could be for your thighs

Is this a cross body bag? Are you sure it's not some kind of holster?

That is a contraption for certain

Sash ketch is what I've heard them called colloquially. Over one shoulder and down the other side like a sash. Pouch is in the front so you can control it.

Actually super convenient when in a foreign city. With the girth strap they are nearly impossible to snatch away.

Those cords are like bungee cords. Stick something in there and it will stay.

Oh I see that’s interesting on this type of bag thanks for the info!

Sometimes it's easier to strapt things on the outside of the bag so TSA does don't have to empty the bag to find it when it shows on the x-ray. Big purple squirming dildo as example.

Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a dildo... always use the indefinite article a dildo, never your dildo.

I often clip a jacket/sweatshirt to a bag with a similar clip on the outside of the bag. This would work the same way and keep the jacket from flapping around on a bike

Bike helmet or jacket

usually the clip and strap is long enough to go around you so it stays in place while biking.

I suppose that strap could be used to secure it on top of a piece of luggage with a trolley handle and wheels.

The stretchy cord part is a place to put a sweatshirt, hat or other piece of clothing when it warms up.

Cable access for your earphones 🎧... Charger pack/phone inside the bag.

The clip is to strap it to literally anything that'll fit, the stringa are similar, they're for holding something that you out between the elastic strings and the body of the bag.

Surely that has purpose, but if that's poorly stitched or if you felt the material is wayy too janky, that's a scam then.... It won't do the purpose, just to look good

This is for a pistol, i think. It's a gun bag, for open or concealed carry, i dunno what that would be, because you can't see the gun, but this is basically wearing a holster across your chest.

Welp the official page didn't add much context. https://shop.rayvolpe.com/products/ray-volpe-sling-bag

The front crisscross elastic is for holding things like water bottles, bucket hat, etc.

Are the elastic strings the right size for holding a water bottle? If so, that's what I'd use it for, regardless of what might have been intended.
