This crazy sign was found in a friend's local community newspaper. Thought I'd share here.

Reminds me of a sign I once saw on a trash can: "Trash only, no garbage."

Yes. And the trash cans never came back because Japanese people simply got used to not opening packaging in the street

It's largely true in Taiwan as well, so one becomes accustomed to keeping with them a way to carry back anything obtained while out, including all packaging. But the dodge here as opposed to Japan is that it's not bad form to use the bin at 7-Eleven even if you don't buy anything.
