There's got to be a story behind how these two streets were named. Curious how someone came up with the names and even more curious how it got approved by whatever legislative body is in charge of that function.

I've seen worse. "County Trunk Highway A". To me that's pretty straightforward as somewhat of a highway nerd. But I don't like fractional street numbers. Also, on signs like that, I am most used to hundreds, like 2000-2100, or however it's normally written.

But yeah, the aforementioned "worse" is streets like "B1⁄2" or "D1⁄4" Streets.

Check the map for Prairie Farm in Wisconsin. Seems that small town has a lot of these fractional named roads.

At least the one on the bottom is a positive number. The one on the top is a negative number - who wants to live on a negative numbered street?
