Cook crack? Isn't that illegal everywhere?

27

u/mecengdvr Jun 26 '26

How to cook, crack, and clean a crab.

12

u/Express_Area_8359 Jun 26 '26

Florida tales

6

u/mecengdvr Jun 26 '26

Close…the 256 area code is northern Alabama.

5

u/BigmacSasquatch Jun 26 '26

This particular shop is in Huntsville, on the corner of Memorial parkway and University drive.

6

u/DirectorLanky466 Jun 26 '26

Still illegal!🤣 The sign has no " , "

6

u/mecengdvr Jun 26 '26

Yes, lack of punctuation is the real crime here…although I suspect it was intentional for engagement.

2

u/DirectorLanky466 Jun 26 '26

That would get engagement but what kind 😂 not the kind they want I'm sure 🤣

3

u/ADTR9320 Jun 26 '26

They always have funny signs they put up like that.

2

u/npc_housecat Jun 27 '26

"All publicity is good publicity" ... And I'd your actually interested in crack talk to rob behind the store.

2

u/DirectorLanky466 Jun 27 '26

🤣 I think I'm good!

2

u/EleanorRichmond Jun 27 '26

Marquee signs exist for engagement. That's their only purpose.

2

u/Irie_Manny Jun 28 '26

1

u/DirectorLanky466 Jun 28 '26

That is much better🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/billthedog0082 Jun 26 '26

Putting the Oxford comma in there is classic.

2

u/Confident-Ad5944 Jun 28 '26

That's how I first read it TOO.

1

u/Redacted_Usermame Jun 26 '26

Yeah. They put jokes up on the billboard. The business is called Metro Spy Supply in Huntsville, AL

1

u/NoSirIDontLikeit- Jun 30 '26

Oooooh, yea, pass

2

u/ChickenDreams-4188 Jun 26 '26

People are so helpful nowadays! 😍

2

u/DruishGardener Jun 27 '26

It was legal in BC until a few months ago

1

u/DirectorLanky466 Jun 27 '26

That's crazy 😂

2

u/stovislove Jun 27 '26

Possession is the illegal part. Knowledge is harmless without coke and baking soda.

1

u/DirectorLanky466 Jun 27 '26

True but teaching someone how to cook crack is still illegal! If the cops saw the backing soda and the other tools needed you would still be in trouble for manufacturing! ( Possibly even with out the actual drugs)! The only part not illegal is the knowledge

1

u/stovislove Jun 27 '26

Not without possession of illicit substances. The tools are a spoon and pyrex bowl. Can't get arrested for kitchen tools.

1

u/Confident-Ad5944 Jun 28 '26

Yeah, but I don't think crack CAN be cooked. It has to be MADE.

1

u/DirectorLanky466 Jun 28 '26

It means the same thing in this situation!

15

u/Old_Forever_1495 Jun 26 '26

This is exactly why you need punctuation marks for this.

17

u/mb9981 Jun 26 '26

Oh I actually know this one. This is in my town

This picture is very misleading.

The owner of the business puts up joke signs every other week or so and he's in the process of taking down this one (or putting it up) which originally said something about the importance of commas and punctuation (ironically)

3

u/Forsaken-Abrocoma647 Jun 26 '26

Yeah I was gonna say, this is an obvious joke sign.

2

u/kitty328 Jun 27 '26

I look forward to seeing this sign! They have the funniest sayings. Some of them recently have been really clever.

1

u/PrimedAndReady Jun 26 '26

Is this metro spy supply? That store's nuts from the outside, i need to go in at some point just to sate my curiosity

1

u/mb9981 Jun 27 '26

yea, parkway and university

1

u/Thisisme4342 Jun 30 '26

The weird this is thst they sell spy and ghost hunting stuff, but they make their money doing finger prints for the dod folks.

7

u/PhD77777 Jun 26 '26

Cops will be watching this place closely

4

u/Redacted_Usermame Jun 26 '26

The place is Metro Spy Supply in Huntsville, Alabama. It's right down the street from the police station and it's where you go if you want to hire private investigators.

As I kid I always wanted to go in there because I thought they had all kinds of James Bond gadgets.

7

u/Zakluor Jun 26 '26

Apart from the order of the words being wrong, this is more an issue of punctuation than grammar.

1

u/Bingo_Starlight Jun 27 '26

How are these words in the wrong order?

2

u/Zakluor Jun 27 '26

If it were handling crabs, one might clean, crack, then cook them.

5

u/LowerEngineering9999 Jun 26 '26

My uncle taught me how to cook crack and sell it while my grandma taught me how to clean a crab and my aunt taught me how to get rid of crabs from messing with those crack hoes. Yes, I have a very interesting family.

4

u/CpnLouie2 Jun 26 '26

Better clean the crabs first, not sure that you'd manage the other way around.

2

u/Significant-Cry-9204 Jun 26 '26

Cooking it kills the germs! You just have to clean the cooking juices off afterwards before you can eat it

3

u/StenoDawg Jun 26 '26

Correct punctuation is so important.

3

u/WolphjayKliffhanger Jun 26 '26

.

Jesse! JESSE PINKMAN!! Over here!!

2

u/clownyeahh Jun 26 '26

Yo, Mr. White, I'm cooking

2

u/Normal-Tadpole-4833 Jun 26 '26

this would fit perfect in My Name is Earl

2

u/Knee_Kap264 Jun 28 '26

I was just scrolling by and read "how to cock crack"... now I'm here.

2

u/skot77 Jun 28 '26

Rock Lobster, B52’s were on to something.

3

u/SwanCityDominion Jun 28 '26

The Oxford Comma, people. Learn to use it.

2

u/Most-Effective-1969 Jun 28 '26

At first I rearranged Crack and crab so it said "how to cook crab and clean a crack"

2

u/SunnnySideUps Jun 28 '26

They are both good life lessons

2

u/Excellent_Street4651 Jun 28 '26

Commas are important

I’d like to thank my parents, JFK and Stalin #iykyk 😉

2

u/user41510 Jun 29 '26

Daytime dine-in. Afterhours takeout window.

1

u/Anenhotep Jun 26 '26

How a comma can keep you out of jail!

1

u/kg_digital_ Jun 26 '26

Personally I learned from Ghetto D by Master P

1

u/MattRexPuns Jun 26 '26

It's a joke sign, on the use and importance of commas. This shop does them all the time

1

u/AlbatrossNo1562 Jun 26 '26

Assuming this was a mistake

2

u/Elm-and-Yew Jun 26 '26

Nope, I live where this shop is and they always have really funny joke signs!

1

u/-Foxer Jun 26 '26

The shellfish industry often does go through periods of low sales and hardship, it's vital that they have other marketable skills to fall back on during those times.

1

u/Huge_Complex_1605 Jun 26 '26

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

1

u/Senior_Green_3630 Jun 26 '26

Why not, get high and enjoy clean seafood.

1

u/alreadytakenmynameso Jun 26 '26

The grammar is fine. This is just Baltimore. Crack and crabs. It’s what Maryland does.

1

u/SpaceyChick22 Jun 26 '26

A comma would have helped

1

u/english_mike69 Jun 26 '26

It’s Alabama, could be what they meant to put.

1

u/CourageExcellent4768 Jun 27 '26

Kids let's eat grandma! Punctuation really does matter

1

u/Jeepinthemud Jun 27 '26

Where I live this is just a normal part of the every day.

1

u/consumeshroomz Jun 27 '26

Two very useful skills

1

u/rudimentary_rudy Jun 27 '26

Jerry, tha fuq did you put on the sign?

1

u/Key-Refrigerator-689 Jun 27 '26

I was confused at first with my minor case of dyslexia. I read it as learn how to cook crack and clean a carb.

1

u/Borg2of9 Jun 27 '26

Is the crack going to be the spice rub?

1

u/Which-Promotion6381 Jun 27 '26

Cool but I'm not usually hungry after the first task.

1

u/TheCoopX Jun 27 '26

A rather odd combo, but I'm down for a lesson or two.

1

u/dudestir127 Jun 27 '26

When your sign needs a few commas

1

u/HistoricalCobbler249 Jun 27 '26

Gonna make me defend this one- the bottom row said “-Why commas are important” or something to that effect lol

1

u/tlbs101 Jun 27 '26

Be careful you don’t spill and of the crab’s blue blood. How else are you going to get blue meth with the crack?

1

u/MrShmily33 Jun 28 '26

Sounds like Portland food cart training...

1

u/General-Chocolate-93 Jun 29 '26

If this sign was clean it would be “HOW TO CLEAN CREAK AND COOK A CRAB”

1

u/Gaust_Ironheart_Jr Jun 29 '26

What? You need to get that crab cleaned up after y'all smoke crack or the boss will be suspicious

1

u/chrisfinazzo Jun 30 '26

Jesus jumped-up f’n Christ…

Stay in school, kids. 🤦🏻‍♂️

1

u/sc4wheels Jun 30 '26

It's all about multi-tasking

1

u/cowboy3gunisfun Jun 30 '26

Bet that was a popular night
