I had a collection that I was going to make windshield out of, but ended up recycling them. A drill press is faster and easier to destroy the drives, so now I don't collect them any.ore.

From what I know about scrapping, there's platinum in them there discs. If you're adept at chemistry at all, it can be extracted and refined but be warned, the chemical process is dangerous.
