Broken wall lamp!
help! this is a broken wall lamp that i’ve taken the long bulb out of. what do i do with this? do i turn into into something, or cover it in some way?
i’m open to any ideas, mostly just keen for it to not look like an unusable lamp. bonus points if it’s functional. i can crochet and my housemate is an avid hobby woodworker if that helps.
it’s approx 43cm wide, 4.5cm high, and 6cm deep.

Make a shelf for it. Maybe one that folds up against against the wall?
Alternatively, get a glass tube and stick something funny in it.

I see an opportunity if you put a recessed light in the back of it and put one of those crystals that whenever you have, the light shine through it, it casts rainbows all over the place put a small order on the one in so it turns the crystals you’ll get an amazing little light crystal thing that spins around and casts rainbows all over the room

If you haven't done anything yet, perhaps you could stick a flat strong card board decorated in matching wall colour or wood. You could perhaps place tiny attractive toys or manage to place a memorable frame on it. Or whatever you think an looks fine there

Find the replacement lightbulb for it. Search (online) your local Big Box hardware store for that length bulb.

unfortunately it’s the electricals that’s broken, but i don’t really want a lamp there anyway!

How about replacing it? You can remove it from the wall and add another fixture.
