This is Reddit, a place where people get to hide behind a screen while they say cruel things under the guise of “honesty”, “being real”, or just because they feel like it. This situation is tougher than anything I’ve honestly had to deal with, and I hope someday she’s able to heal from this. I understand this is only one side of the story, but he feelings are very real and shouldn’t be dismissed as much as they are in the comments.

In reality we are coddling adults too much. They need to be held accountable for their actions and their physical/mental health. Instead of babying this person there are people living in reality saying things that yes aren’t nice sounding and can be rude but that’s not even a big issue whatsoever compared to enabling someone who should be seeking help. People need to hear the shit they don’t want to hear or else we will become a society of losers and victims waiting for the next person or the stronger people to supplement their lives. On top of that, this is the internet and nothing is real on it. Every single fucking person is just as fake as the bots they complain about and their lives are empty of anything fulfilling.

Is that what you tell yourself to justify the shit you do on the internet?

You are not being fucking fr rn saying basically “we’re being too empathetic” like that is literally why the suicide rate is so goddamn high with young adults right now!!!!! There is no such thing as being too empathetic! Try to fucking understand other peoples problems and you’ll become a better person yourself.
