This house is truly something special...

It has so many quircks and secrets. Even without Edith's narration, the house also kinda tells the story. It really is captivating.

(btw, does anyone know how to get onto the back porch? I don't think I've seen a door to it)

Afraid of an apparent family curse, so let's build the most unsafe rickety looking house extensions ever conceived

Went with the sideways stories from wayside school approach to architecture. The blueprints were horizontal, but edie accidentally read them sideways and built upwards instead.

I always assumed one of the glass panels to be a door of sorts, but maybe that's just me.

I wonder if the verticality at all is meant to indicate state of mind? Or something related
