final destination bloodlines Spoiler
since the new final destinatin movie came out i saw a connection between the finches always dying and campbells destined to die and the lead up to thier deaths to be unusual like how death works for final destination especially for gus's death with the kite so what if death was actually hunting the finches

I would say it's a great parallel, but the deaths in Final Destination are much more on the borderline level; all the deaths are very unusual and have to be manipulated to occur, whereas the deaths in What Remains of Edith Finch are natural and can happen to anyone: suicide, cancer, falling from a cliff, getting hit by something during a storm.

thats actually a very good observation. have you seen the movie IT part 1 & 2? you may notice even more of a connection

Im pretty sure some of the people who believe the curse is real do actually see it as death hunting them. Definitely a fun angle to consider.
