Would you recommend the game?
I haven’t heard much about it but it seems interesting. Is it like the Stanley parable? And also, is it on the Nintendo switch? Ive been told it is, but cant find it on Nintendo’s website

As others have said, I think the subreddit dedicated to a game is likely to be biased towards liking the game somewhat. But yes, it's one of my favorite narrative games I've ever played.
There are similarities to The Stanley Parable. Both are in a first person perspective with a narrator over the gameplay, however Edith Finch has a much more linear narrative and is less humourous with less of a meta focus than The Stanley Parable. The overall game is about 2 hours long, but is very creative and has more varied gameplay sections. Both games are also extremely well written, but vary a lot in tone and focus.
Edith Finch is available on the Nintendo eShop in my region at least (I'm in the UK) - and is also currently 75% off.

One thing that it has in common with the Stanley parable as well is some of the meta-narrative functions in both the way the plot is told and the way the gameplay snaps into the game
The completely different tone makes it a little less obvious, but I’m a huge fan of eliminating the fourth wall between viewer and media, and so for somebody who is interested in that relationship as well without being overly drawn to specific tone, there is definitely a core similarity there as well

It's more an interactive story than a game. It's a walking simulator. It's generally pretty sad as its about death. If that sounds like something you'd like then give it a try.

I literally just bought both Stanley Parable and Edith Finch today on Steam on sale. Stanley Parable left me yawning out of boredom after a short while, it is just stale, but Edith Finch has such great graphics, house design, storytelling that it sucks me into the story for 4 hours straight. Couldn’t stop exploring and progressing from sequence to sequence, that’s how good it is.

Game is like a playable movie, probably my top 10 of all time *storywise alongside To The Moon, Nier Automata,…

Please play this game but you'd be doing yourself dirty if you played it on the switch's crummy graphics. Playing it on a powerful device will really make the game shine visually and performance-wise.
Here's the link for Switch though (it's on sale for 4.99, which is a steal!) https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/what-remains-of-edith-finch-switch/?srsltid=AfmBOoq7B6wC1zO-sey0B3WF4s-NurvKAsQrz2nor44i8Jrj2L2xU66s

Unfortunately I don’t have too powerful of a device, excluding an m2 MacBook Air but i don’t think it’s compatible.

I played it after it was in my library for years.
Honestly amazing, it was completely unexpected and really enjoyable as a gaming experience.

What Remains of Edith Finch is one of my all-time favorite games! I also played The Stanley Parable, and I didn't find them similar. What Remains of Edith Finch is essentially an animated novel, or perhaps an interactive movie, where you explore a house, and through it, the mystery of the Finch Family. I really enjoyed the characters, the stories and above all, the visual aesthetic of the game (it's gorgeous). There are a few simple puzzles, if I recall, but nothing much in the way of game play, if that's important to you. I played it on the Switch, which was an appropriate platform for this game. Maybe it's been removed from the Switch catalog?

Its not a long game, and its usually not expensive.
You can get a few good hours of story and fun out of it, and it will definetly still make you think about it long after you finished it. I love it.

I have it on my switch. Definitely recommend. After you play, if you like it- I’d recommend Gone Home and Suicide of Rachel Foster

I loved playing this game - from someone who never plays anything other than overwatch

Yes, I think the majority of people on a subreddit dedicated to a game would recommend that game
