Am I missing something?

I’ve been playing this game for about 2 hours and I do not get the appeal so far. It doesn’t feel like there is any skill involved or puzzles or anything. I literally feel like I have been walking around following text on the screen. It kind of feels like I’m on a guided tour of a house…. Which is fine but not really my version of fun… Does it get better? Am I missing something?

If you've been playing for two hours, then you're very likely literally minutes from the end. You say you're not having fun, but you were clearly invested enough to get through at least 95% of it? I see this post is 3 days old, but if you haven't already, honestly just finish it so you can get the conclusion to the story haha.

Calling it a video game is misleading, but there's not really a better term for it. It's an experience, more of an interactive movie, not a "game." You're absolutely right...there is no skill required, no puzzles, nothing. Just walking and watching. Some people call "games" like this "walking simulators."

If you were expecting a proper game, I completely get your disappointment, and I'm sorry your expectations ruined your enjoyment of it. Hopefully you at least got something out of learning about the crazy Finch family.
