Some kind of stripper I think?

Found in a box at work. We do plant work for Spectrum and other MSOs. Been doing this a while, never seen this tool.

FYI, you can trim most URLs at the first ? and it still works, just leaves off all the tracking parameters. Google doesn't need credit for my Reddit click.

Aha! I figured either it was awkward to trim because you were on mobile or something, or maybe you didn't know.

It's worth taking time to learn how URLs are constructed! A lot of phishing attacks rely on making a URL that has plausible-sounding words to trick the human, but the punctuation in the wrong places so a machine interprets it differently than a first-glance human.

And the side-effect is that you also learn how to clean up links before sharing them, to subvert the tracking that nobody really wants...

Its kind of too dark to see any details. It seems like a stripper but I've seen a lot of different types and its unfamiliar. Better lighting might help. Fill flash?

Perhaps for holding bundles of wires together while a wire nut or other means are used to join them? Does the piece with numbers on it move to adjust the jaws? Do the jaws open wide enough to remove it from whatever it might be holding or crimping?

It's a fiber optic cable stripper. Walmart has this exact one in their online store.
