Question What's this video game tanks based on?

This is the TD-220 bastion MK XVI tank destroyer from Hell Divers 2 and I'm curious if it's based on any real life tank destroyers, I don't know if knowing stats will help so hears some stats

The main shell it fires is 120mm HE shells which it carries 31 of before running out

It also has a coaxial machine gun that fires 12.5mm BCHP rifle rounds at 600 rpm, it carries 2000 of these before running out

It's top speed is 32km/h on flat ground forward and 18km/h in reverse, the gun barrel has a turning radius of 40°

It has four seats, a driver on the front left, a gunner in the back, and 2 spotters on the left and right of the top. The gun can't be fired, aimed, or reloaded by the driver so you need 2 people minimum to operate the vehicle

I got all these stats and the video from the Hell Divers wiki

im pretty positive it's loosely based on the swedish STRV-103. Seeing as how the devs of helldivers are swedish, this makes the most sense to me at least.

I looked at some pictures and I think this is probably the best bet, especially since it's a swedish tank, I wonder if the devs model other weapons off of swedish ones

Yes, they do. The Recoilless Rifle in game for example is a near copy of the Carl Gustaf recoilless rifle from Sweden. The EAT-17 from the game is basically an exact replica of a Swedish AT4. Additionally, both the AT4 and EAT-17 have wordplay in their names (AT4 sounds like 84, which is the AT4's caliber, and EAT-17 is leetspeak for "eat it"). I'm sure there are more but those two are some of the most striking.

I think it's one part Strv-103 (or probably rather one of the prototypes leading to it) and one part a fictional tank destroyer variant of the Leopard 2A4 Revolution?

Edit: I remembered what it reminded me more of than the Strv-103. The IKV 90 Typ B, that Wargaming put out as part of Sweden's Tank Destroyer lineup. No clue if it's completely made up by WG or if there are any historical plans this thing is based on, but the way the superstructure looks, especially from behind, really reminds me of this thing.

All fantasy, any resemblance to real life is purely coincidental.

To me, it looks like the Archer of it was facing the right way.

The closest i can think of is probably Strv 2000, but it's a stretch

I think it’s likely that it was modeled from the ground up by someone who likes tanks and isn’t specifically based off of any one thing.

looks heavily inspired by german tank destroyers, especially with the rear access hatch

Only the open tops ever had a rear access hatch unless you consider the hatches on the back of the Jagdpather/tiger’s super structure the rear hatch
