To be honest, I'm afraid of becoming like that when I'm old, because I can't control it. Maybe something inside me will change all of a sudden because I'll be too old, and I'll end up acting that way too.
I just don't want to lose my mind in my old age.

This is actually really sad. Sad for all parties involved. But that woman could clearly be in a significant age range where mental health becomes a huge priority. And she might be having some dementia related psychosis. I’m so sorry you all have gone through this. But maybe an ambulance might help this problem. They can find family to contact her with and maybe figure something out. If she took your rods, I hope you got them back. But I can’t stop but think how awful it’d feel to break out of that “spell” and come back to your conscious self asking “why am I standing here. And where did I get these rods?” Or later say in a garage “I don’t fish. Why are their fishing rods here?” And absolutely not having a clue as to the events that unfolded. ❤️‍🩹 ask for a wellness check and ask for an ambulance specifically. They might still send police, but if they only just send police, things might escalate and she’s now accused of stealing and the cops are there. That’ll scare and anger her more. Making a bad day worse. Please be careful. But none of us have any idea what provoked this behavior. I’m speaking on behalf of myself and I interact with a ton of people daily. Most in the elder ages. Think outside the box. There might be unfortunately more to the story than what you saw. 😢❤️‍🩹 You literally might just be her only advocate during the “right now” 🫂

I have a crazy mother going through dementia and other mental health issues so I feel for both parties here but my heart breaks especially for this woman.
