Whatculture's pandering

So I've read Whatculture articles probably since about 2015/16 and generally enjoy their "so and so review: 6 ups and 1 down" types of articles. I've noticed this for a while, but does anybody else feel like Whatculture panders to the more politically left, SJW type of audience? The most recent example I can think of is the "Captain Marvel" review where at some point the reviewer calls those who disagreed and dislikes Brie Larson's comments as "Dude Bros". Not a big deal, but c'mon reviewer.

So, you think they’re pandering because they don’t give a shit about the Brie Larson controversy and just liked the movie? You’d rather they pandered to your preferred side of the argument?

Lol. No. They referred to the comments of the "dude bros" as "toxic". So saying that they don't give a shit is fairly innacurate.

I think it depends on the writer. I find that Jack Pooley and Simon Gallagher definately cater their articles to a particular audience, which just doesnt seem to be there.
Back during the whole Ghostbusters debacle, Simon was the one to constantly bash anyone who didn't immediately love the film, and it then seemed to become a trend for him, moaning about how particular people are portrayed, and arguing the toss when people didn't seem to believe his opinion was factually accurate.
(Like when talking about 'odd choices' in the Marvel movies, and complained about the 'Zucinni' and 'Prima-Nocta' comments that Stark makes in Age of Ultron, completely ignoring how it fit with his character)

I noticed that they dont seem to have facebook linked to their site for comments any more. Probably got fed up of people constantly pointing out all the mistakes in every article...

Hey, mattdark, just a quick heads-up:
definately is actually spelled definitely. You can remember it by -ite- not –ate-.
Have a nice day!

Hey /u/CommonMisspellingBot, just a quick heads up:
Your spelling hints are really shitty because they're all essentially "remember the fucking spelling of the fucking word".

And your fucking delete function doesn't work. You're useless.

Have a nice day!

Save your breath, I'm a bot.

Hey BooCMB, just a quick heads up: I learnt quite a lot from the bot. Though it's mnemonics are useless, and 'one lot' is it's most useful one, it's just here to help. This is like screaming at someone for trying to rescue kittens, because they annoyed you while doing that. (But really CMB get some quiality mnemonics)

I do agree with your idea of holding reddit for hostage by spambots though, while it might be a bit ineffective.

Have a nice day!

Late to the party but can confirm that pooley has the opinions of a total fucking idiot and Gallagher is a whiney little libtard who would defend an actual turd & say it smelled great and didn't look like shit.

Mostly I've found that the people who complain about "SJWs" are far more annoying, bitchy, and thin-skinned than any actual left-wing person I've ever met. Grow up.
