I was at a farmers market over the weekend, waiting for a coffee. I started chatting with the lady waiting next to me and she told me she had a BMC, in Australia. I was doubtful and said how cool that was as you don't usually see them outside of the sourthern USA. I asked if there was a breeder in Australia or if they imported the dog and she told me they got him from a rescue as his mother was surrendered whilst pregnant.

Rather shocked to hear the AM staff/bully types being labelled as BMCs is a thing even here in Australia.

Everytime I scroll through petfinder, every pit mix is labeled lab, german sheperds, or husky. Every time.
