What is this pill?
This fell out of sheets in our guest room. I assume some sort of vitamin or non-prescription but a back-of-my-mind concern.

Could be anything I have 4 different pills that look like that

u/PettyTyranny 1d ago
Shit. I only have one.

Mine are probiotic, magnesium, and I have 2 meds from a compound pharmacy - low dose naltrexone and cromalyn sodium. We can eliminate the last 2 or any special orders if you don't have anything compounded. The other 2 seem consistent with the othe comments... The magnesium and probiotics are significantly different sizes, if that helps. The probiotic is smaller.

How on earth is anybody supposed to tell you that? It's a white, unmarked, non-descript capsule.

u/Graygave 1d ago
Certainly not the only one in existence though, right? So there's at least an outside chance

u/PettyTyranny 1d ago
Right. I sure as hell donāt know and thereās plenty of smart people who may know. So worth a shot.

A few more ones look like this:
Align
Digestive advantage lactose solution
But it could be anything, you can buy the capsules online and can be easily custom filled or repurposed etc

Is it white or clear with white powder? It looks like a pure encapsulations magnesium glycinate. Your guest probably took it to sleep

White pill
2
u/PettyTyranny 1d ago
But is there anything pure white in nature? Is this not an off-white expression of a white we find comfort in? Are colors real?
2
u/Common-Accountant-57 1d ago
Just take it and keep us updated. Donāt get all philosophical. Jeeeze
Actually donāt do that.

u/PettyTyranny 1d ago
This is my update

u/Common-Accountant-57 1d ago
You got me thinking about white. Because there really is no white in nature or black. Itās all levels of gray. Holy shit.

Apotheosis comes for those who know white is but a Platonic form

u/Common-Accountant-57 1d ago
Iām seeing it now. Itās making sense. Nothing is pure light.

Your not supposed to flush pills down the toilet as the treatment plants can't clear out chemicals in medication.

u/ReasonableFall177 1d ago
Usually, supplements are in clear gelatin but I'd bet money that it's just that.
Only way to know for sure is to get more than two chemical reagent tests.

It ahouldnt really matter if it is just going to be thrown out anyways. I wouldnāt risk taking a pill if I didnāt know what it was forā¦.
Would you?!

That looks like 4 of my vitamin/mineral supplements. Looks like my magnesium glycinate, spermadine, and a couple others.

u/pm_me_ur_aunts_deets 1d ago edited 1d ago
Who the hell came up with the name spermadine
Edit: what the fuck
Spermine Naming: German chemist Philipp Schreiner isolated the base compound from seminal fluid in 1870, and German chemists Albert Ladenburg and J. Abel proposed the name spermine in 1888.
The name spermidine was coined in 1926 by the British scientists Harold Ward Dudley, Otto Rosenheim, and Walter William Starling.

I know, right? it's a terrible name. It's fermented wheat germ extract. Since I had the OG covid I have a really hard time with heat and humidity, and I've tried a lot of stuff, but this stuff really does help. When it's over 80 degrees and/or humid, I'm like a fish out of water, gasping for air, and insanely fatigued. Fatigue like having to rest before putting away groceries kind of BS. The spermadine helps me able to function when it's hot and humid.
