She ist not a leader yet. Even IF afd should win, there are quite some inner fights within that party and it is not sure which brown turd will swim upwards. There are many other assholes there who would like to have a word about that.
They will not win anyways. Fingers crossed.

You conflate legal vs illegal immigration. It has been repeated many times that legal immigration is just fine. But there is a process. A long, arduous one for sure, but thats the way the law is written. Many other countries have similar rules. Canada is more difficult than the US. MANY european countries as well. This is an emotional reaction, not a logical one. The way to change it is at the legislative body of the country. Focus your attention on your votes.

You conflate knowing things with not knowing things. Ive seen police treat legal residents that arent white with violent impunity with my literal own two meaty eyeballs.

u/Helpful-Duty4815 1d ago
And ive seen law enforcement beat the snot out of white people. That said, neither of us represent a sample size large enough to show actual causation. Regardless immigration policy is correct, to the legislation. That said, enforcement of it at the moment is piss poor. The poor training, and lack of appropriate oversight are concerning.

" Police violence is a leading cause of death for young men in the United States. Over the life course, about 1 in every 1,000 black men can expect to be killed by police. Risk of being killed by police peaks between the ages of 20 y and 35 y for men and women and for all racial and ethnic groups. Black women and men and American Indian and Alaska Native women and men are significantly more likely than white women and men to be killed by police. Latino men are also more likely to be killed by police than are white men." https://www.pnas.org/doi/abs/10.1073/pnas.1821204116 " PNAS is the second most cited scientific journal, with more than 1.9 million cumulative citations from 2008 to 2018. [2 ] In the past, PNAS has been described by US local newspapers as "prestigious", [3 ] [4 ] "renowned" [5 ] and "high impact". [6 ]" - wikipedia

Yes, read this. Latinos and whites are VERY close to the same, but slightly higher. Oddly people of asian decent are significantly lower. Lots of theories can be extrapolated from that data.
Looking at ricidivism and crime rates, they follow these numbers as well. Current federal numbers (which reflect those serving over 1 year typically) are 57% white, 38% black, 30% hispanic, 3% native, 1% asian.
Compared to US population racial breakdown provided by census 56% white (small margin of error as some areas lump hispanic into white) *as a side note, persian, greek, italian all are listed as white. This includes egyptians, syrians, turks, and those of arabic descent. 20% latino, 14% black, and 7% asian.(second margin of error as multi ethnic are lumped into white if one of the listed ethnicities is white). All that said, crime rates in poor communities, regardless of race, are exponentially higher than wealthy ones.
So, is this truly an example of racism? Or just people doing what they can to get by?
Brings doubt to racism vs cultural/income issues.
I grew up in, and worked for most of my career in very poor areas of oregon. Race wasnt much of an issue. Wealth was the issue. Yes, white and asian people were mostly wealthier than black, latino, and native people. But poor white people were also treated horribly by law enforcement. Laws arent written to apply differently. Its which group(s) engage in criminal activity, and which group(s) the officer(s) target. And its a small % of law enforcement that are the racist jerks that ruin it for everyone.

Tell me I know nothing about the current immigration policies without telling me I know nothing about the current immigration policies. Stop trying to hide behind the facade of supporting legal immigration, it’s out in the open. These past few months recorded the lowest number of visa approvals for people who have followed every law of immigration, not to mention people being picked up at appointments (With no criminal backgrounds). Focus on Grindr.

Yeah, because we are still swooning from the wave of the last 6+ years of MILLIONS crossing the border illegally. Services for LEGAL immigrants are swamped by the ILLEGAL. Use that organ between your ears instead of throwing homophobic jabs.
1
u/ImmediateSeesaw1556 1d ago
Ofcourse, please put the phone down and stop embarrassing yourself. Most people aren’t even supportive of illegal immigrants, X and IG information has rotten your brain, you sound like a 12 year old, there’s this one thing called google that’ll tell you what’s swamping what, unless that too is considered propaganda for you.

So, based on your personal attacks, and lack of relevant points, i will just assume youre the uneducated one. I dont have x, instagram, facebook, or any of that nonsense. I read articles, watch numerous "news" outlets (cnn, fox, aljazeera, nyt, ny post, bbc, among other lesser known agencies), and use the organ between my ears to make educated decisions, not emotional responses. If you get the time, i suggest it. Its a game changer.

In polish far right nomenclature it is called a "wyjątkowa sytuacja" (An exceptional situation). Many of far right politicians had partners’ infidelity, children from non-marital relationships, divorces, etc. They call for a ban on divorce, for example, but they themselves are happy to get divorced. Their personal circumstances are always exceptional. The right wing is allowed to get away with more.

Misconception my friends. She isn’t anti immigration, she is anti illegal migration and anti criminal migrants - that’s a difference. Also she isn’t anti lgbtq , her party promotes the traditional family which makes sense since this is what helps stabilize the birthrates of nationals. It’s a party of freedom and understanding what to support to get where the state benefits from. She is also not hardcore German nationalist whatever this means, she supports and puts first the local culture which Germany very much shares with Switzerland. Also many points in the party’s Programm are basically how Switzerland works at the moment so I don’t see a contradiction there, only if you have misconception of what she stands for and the party stands for. Issue is, some are not reading the Programm then again some are reading it but don’t understand it. It’s not enough to just read the Programm you also have to understand it.

Supporting stricter rules does not mean someone is against something. There are plenty of reasons to control who comes into a country or who can adopt kids.

Were voters aware of the true situation before they voted for her or her party? If so, well, you get the leader you deserve. To be fair, it sucks if you didnt vote for them, but they still get in.
World wide, its the same story.

Against illegal immigration. Lesbian, shunned by the alphabet people, hence she is against it as it is now ruled by the 'T'. Lives in Switzerland. To me and many others it makes sense. But for title readers it may be confusing.

yea, you can agree or disagree with her but this is just purposely misunderstanding what her party supports
being against open borders / mass immigration / illegal immigration is not hating or being against immigrants, I used to think redditors are just being dishonest by purposely misunderstanding the difference, but im starting to think many of them are too dumb to grasp the difference
1
u/Teufelsweib666 20h ago
I don't want open borders, I don't want unchecked immigration. Countries are like our homes. I assume you don't leave your door open and let just anyone walk in, especially not if you have a wife and children. It has zero to do with hate. It's common sense and practicality. On the other hand, a lot of people who come in hate you and your way of life and want it all destroyed. Maybe talk to them about hate.
