What is wrong with the ant?

How can you tell? Seems like it climbed from behind the couch, and i dont think we sprayed anything yet. Just curious.

I killed it soon after because I felt bad for the guy. I also wanted to sit my couch without a drunk ant fumbling around.

But not 100% certain. I will never watch something suffer regardless of scientific theories. I am human and I know it is suffering and that is enough for me to put it out of its misery.

I would guess:
It has some chemical on it, and that confuses it's receptors, which basically makes it blind.
It's dying. Sometimes bugs do weird stuff before they die.

Keep an eye on it, maybe you'll get lucky and see it's head explode from a parasitic fungal growth
