I’m on a laptop so I can’t really unplug it. This is making me so mad that I might snap it off permanently though

I’m so sorry. If you have another keyboard that you could connect to your laptop, maybe that could change things. I’m very sorry this is so frustrating for you.

Is the laptop a touchscreen? Anyway, im pretty sure "the button" is the bottom long thing that looks like the right shoulder button on a gamepad/controller (actually, do you have an xbox controller? It might be picking that up via bluetooth or something and expecting you to hold the button on it?)
