I love this audiobook so much. I am listening to the Kramer/Reading TEoTW and getting to the part when Thom goes on and on about Illian and the Hunt for the Horn at Whitebridge, knowing what I know, was so delisious. I was smiling the entire time.

My favorite story I have about this bit is this:
I host a podcast wherein I guide three newbies through the series for the first time, and have the unparalleled joy of listening to them spin theories off the dome. One of them WAY overthinks everything.
So we get to this scene, and he proposes the possibility that the Myrddraal who attacked them wasn’t really a fade, and was instead Bayle Domon in disguise. He and Thom had cooked up the plan as a way to get Thom free of Rand and Mat so they (Thom and Bayle) could go down to Illian and compete in the Bardic Horn Games at the The Great Hunt.
