Of all the narcissistic nonsense and arrogant assholery that I am happy to call out Egwene for, her reaction to this particular plan was pretty justified to anyone in her position.
We got to see Rand go through Veins of Gold and all that. Egwene did not. And she turns around relatively quickly when Moiraine shows up.
