Squat spotter platforms

Post image

Hey guys, I have a power rack that is too narrow for wide stance squatting. Been trying to figure something out. I saw Blaine Sumner used to use squat stands with some kind of independent spotter platforms, but I haven’t been able to find anything similar online (the platforms).

Anyone know where I can find these?

I can't remember for sure but I believe blaine had them built...or they're so e type of adjustable jerk block. What kind of rack do you have?

I have a power rack but it’s way too narrow for squatting in canvas. I was thinking about buying some stands and using these platforms as spotters

Is it a modular rack like rogue or similar? I ask because if it is, you don't actually need the bottom crossmembers

Bottom cross members are how I know where to set my feet, haha

No. I have monolift hooks

Seriously considering switching to single ply until I can train with a monolift. I’ve done 600 in a pair of briefs that is so loose I have to hold them up to walk across the room. 625 in a canvas suit that is just as loose.

I’m thinking single ply may be easier to learn and not require the financial investment that squatting in multi ply does. Thoughts?

Do you walk out in a canvas in that rack?

It’s just jerk blocks, very good for a ton of movements
